General Elections

Day 72, 00:00 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Zuku_Zulu

The General Elections in Erepublik are upon us, and your vote will determine how the country is ruled for another month.

The two main candidates are the UKRP's Kaleb and 313's 94asm. The UKRP has grown hugely over the past week or so, doubling in size. The new 313 party, a more serious and dedicated take on TPF, has been blessed with a gradually increasing member base of active users.

While the UKRP retains more members than N.E.W (the initials for the new 313 party), some members have been attempting to rally users from GameFAQs 313 forum for extra support. Is this an acceptable campaign technique, or simply 'cheating'?

The UKRP seems to have created a more detailed manifesto than N.E.W, but maybe this is because of their (in particular Kaleb's) extra experience with both the game's mechanics and ruling the country. Both parties have good intentions, and neither will be making radical changes to existing policies.

N.E.W also has the support of the UKAP, who's leader, Mike Rahl, has made the noble decision to encourage his party members to vote for N.E.W. He feels that his party has no chance of winning, and that its votes are better use elsewhere. Could his backing give 313 the edge and carry them through the election? Maybe...

Don't forget to vote for your chosen party tomorrow, no matter what it is. Remember, eUK doesn't comprise of 313 and UKRP - there's the Right Party, the Conservative Party, and the Erepublik Party Party to consider as well, not to mention the UKAP. Happy voting!
