Join the new world

Yer so, my last article lamented the withering of this game and the corresponding lack of funs. With every action here being made to feel like we are just marking time, it's no wonder this place has become deserted. It's been quite dreary for quite a long while, so I moved to eTurkey a while back, hoping that a change of scenery would enliven things for me. No such luck, as it was more of the same, just in a different place. So far, the only thing noteworthy has been the recent conquering of China by Turkey, Paraguay, Chile and Croatia.

It reminded me of some of the most fun times in this game when whole countries were being taken over. Most of the time I have spent in this game was in North America, and there were numerous times we were invaded and wiped, only to come back again. We also did our fair share of going on the offensive. Indeed, every country in this game has at one time or another, had to play defense or has tried to extend it's reach.

Erepublik is a mere shell of it's former self. Due to low numbers of players, it's almost impossible for your average player to become a media mogul if they want to have an outside life. The economy is calibrated for overproduction and unsustainable wages. Politics is an exercise in boring repetitiveness. Chasing medals has turned into a pursuit for the shameless gold buying lackeys as the masses get turned off by the affectatious elitism. Despite this, the military module is the only semi-interesting part of being here. If anything, I'd like to see how long we can hold onto China.

It was fun for a bit, but now we have to see about getting into another campaign now that this round of attacking is over. It was a little bit of shiny distraction in an otherwise dull place, brief as it was. So....who's in for another gangbang?
