Forward thinking for eNL [Part 2/2]

In my last article i addressed a number of issues which i believe will help the eNL prosper. I wanted to separate the issues into two topics and publish them a few days apart to give way for peoples opinions and debates.

Here is the second set of issues.
But definitely not the last which eNL need to focus on.
What's the point in joining your own country or a smaller country which you want to support when there are much larger countries that offer better resources, better guides and all round better prices?
eNL has a great community, it has experienced and strong players as well as new players who are enthusiastic about getting into politics and helping the nation.
I think the only people who need to move abroad should be Ministers of Defense, to take advantage of higher resources for the purpose of supplies/communes.
I've also noticed in eNL that there are TWO eIrish MUs, one of them commanded by the current country president.
I have nothing against this but seeing an entire MU full of eDutch citizens wearing the eIrish colors just confuses me. We should be celebrating our own nation and wearing our own flags and designing our own uniforms to help increase awareness of our nation.
When an eNL/eIrish MU hits in a foreign country wearing Irish colors, who is that country going to think helped them?
Communication is always one of the most important aspects in erepublik.
I see a lot of articles published via the ministerial organizations which is great, this is something the eUK lacked as most articles there were published by peoples personal newspapers. So far the eNL is doing great with government communication. Ministers are asked to publish articles at least every week and citizens can easily find these articles as each ministers newspaper even links to the other.
Something that would be interesting and definitely help people be aware of the eNL and hopefully increase our citizen count would be more news that promotes us, patriotically. We need newspapers reviewing epic battles where we try to RW a region, even if we fail, with screenshots and honors/awards to fighters who gave their best.
Articles that are written by eNL people but aimed towards foreign audiences would really help people want to move here and join us in our fight to make the country better.

As someone wearing this lovely color of green I should probably leave a comment here.
1: green is my favorite color (oh wait this is probably not relevant)
2: Being part of eICA has allowed us to work in a commune with relatively good supplies. As this is now over, probably the Dutch division of the ICA will soon change its name.
3: Ireland is an allied nation
4: Ireland's orange is the same as our Dutch orange. So Ireland is of all foreign nations probably the one we're closest to.
I understand were close, but whats the point in being in an Irish MU in eNL?
Do they have a eDutch MU in eIreland?
It kind of feels like we're they're bitch and people are happily accepting it.
So: probably we'll change our avatars and MU name soon.
As for your second point. More media is always good. But to get a strong nation we should firstly strive to get more Dutch people to join eRepublik, and keep playing this game.
So that's why the government is so focused on articles for the Dutch citizens.
Getting more allies abroad is also a noble goal, but since we're such a small nation we cannot let all of those people enter. Dissappointing people at the gate may harmful.

As for the so called Irish MU; It is a Dutch MU with indeed Irish colors. A Dutch hint on it would have been nice.
Still I didn't oppose since the people there received more then enough Q7's to make the DO every day and even do more after that. That makes our nation stronger and is beneficial to our end goal which we all share. So in fact Ireland was supporting us in our long term goal for which I thank them. Due to the recent robberies that has to end though.
As for people abroad; That shouldn't be restricted to a MoD. Everyone that supports communework or has a commune should try to maximize resources since otherwise it will not be possible to make it work, unless we settle for 1 Q7 weapon for a days work...
I agree with weekstrom it's sad we can't manage such things on our own. But for now that's the reality

Ans yes, we sure are greatfull to Eire for supporting us for so long. o7
@Reinier; Now you mention it, I know again, but the visibility is quite low. The new logo is a lot better. Hope to see you al wear it soon.
