Forums: The Solution to all our Problems!

Or so one would be forgiven for thinking after reading most of the press releases of the new UK reform party. While a fine idea in and of itself it seems unclear how this will really achieve anything other than providing a more active place for discussion of various in-game issues. However this seems to be, according to them at least, the basis for voting for the UKRP as they seem to plan in most other things to continue the failed policies of the EPP.
While this is not surprising, given that most of their members seem to be old school EPP members it is somewhat disappointing. Unfortunately it seems that only the UKAP is willing to place substantial tariffs on the imported goods that are running our home grown companies out of business. Or to inflate the currency to a more reasonable level in order to help our own exports.
Thus until the EPP, UKRP or whatever they eventually decide to call themselves manage to reform themselves to offer the necessary interventionist government that this country so sorely needs at the present time. This paper would have to advise all citizens of the UK to vote for Big Duncan Ferguson and the UKAP in the upcoming elections, the only individual and party that seems able to give the UK the fresh, decisive and active Government that it deserves.

While I understand the apprehension present, it must be noted that we can't continue EPP's policies because there really aren't a lot of them. Also, the bank concepts hatched by Kaleb has numerous advantages and can hardly be branded a failure.
Last of all, the UKR has yet to iron out the details of its manifesto, so I look forward to a lively debate once we've rolled out our plans as well.

For crying out loud will you STOP with this 'old school EPP bunch' load of CRAP. The fact I joined EPP when I first started in ER has no relevance whatsoever it was either them or the Conservative party whose leader was banned!! It just took us longer to get the Gold together to start a party of our own because we don't have a load of mates from another forum to go and invite on mass and harvest gold from the invites. EPP EPP EPP blah blah blah is that all you've got to say against us?
I can't help but notice that you've ignored the main thrust of the article but that's to be expected. As far as the EPP goes, not joining at all would've sent a stronger message than just running along with the mob.
Not exactly. There wasn't any indication as to the activeness of the EPP when I first joined the game, and the press releases in the front page then were mostly EPP. Not to mention that most of the policies announced were reasonable. snow_gibbon also opened his thread to advertise the entrepreneurial loan on the same day I joined. So it wasn't easy to gauge the EPP's performance when I just joined. You're practically faulting us for making decisions that were practically hard to resolve due to lack of information. The problem here is that you assume that joining the EPP automatically means endorsing it completely, where there is no logical connection of such a causation. And I personally don't know where you got the assumption that the UKR won't support protectionism or interventionism of any kind.
I've seen nothing from the party or its members to suggest they will so far. Kaleb's numerous postings certainly seem to indicate to me that he at least isn't exactly in favor of things like that.
I love how we are "old skool" EPP members, what was Big Duncan Ferguson then?
he was in the EPP too, everyone seems to overlook this?
People are just rolling around saying "EPP this UKRP that" and completely failing to see how we have rolled out our plans and are already putting them into action, and are working with local companies to install a hospital in London. We have yet to roll out our other plans on how to bring the UK into the TOP 5 countries.
The forums are a means of communication, some people have gained jobs through them, they were unemployed for days and living off invitation gold, thanks to the forums they were able to get a job in under 24 hours. Also, if everyone does not register then its not going to be not much use, the UK has 300+ citizens, of which around 80-100 are currently inactive, which leaves 200 citizens which should have registered by now. Alot of people dont read the news papers or press release, and alot do not vote for that matter. The forums are not a political rush to gain votes, its Party Independent, it doesnt matter who is in power at the time or who agrees with what. Its a place for parties to be able to directly speak to the citizens, its a place for citizens to meet other citizens, find jobs, find employess, discuss general matters, teach one another things about the eRepublik world, exchange tips and tricks etc.
Your biased pro UKAP writing is simply involves loads of big words which most people wont even bother to try to understand.
In fact all of the top 6 candidates for the UKAP are ex-EPP members!! If this isn't blatant hypocrisy I don't know what is!!!
There there Volkan, don't you fret. If it's too complicated for you I can try to summarize it in a manner you might understand.
UKAP good. UKRP bad.
Thus until the EPP, UKRP or whatever
FFS We arent EPP, we are a completely different thing than EPP.
And telling people to vote for UKAP really shows that you are desperate, UKRP isnt going around telling people to vote for this and that, but to vote who they think deserves it,
shaggy, I think its clear that your arguments make no sense at all. If you try to counter a party, for the love of god, at least do it right and not the 13 year old kids way.
And now your party has a forum, so dont talk about UKRP
