Foreign Policy Thoughts for the New Government
SaraDroz
Congratulations to the new CP DMV3, who while I am told is relatively new to eCanada, has won the approval the most voters. I welcome his "Presidential Address" calling for unity and hope to be able to offer my support through out his term(s). That however is not up to me... Where I disagree I will, as always, argue my case and when I see corruption I will call it what it is.
National Security in the eWorld
There are some who may claim that you can be 'non aligned' in the eWorld. Long ago (in game time) there used to be a kind of None Aligned Alliance in eAsia with eMalaysia, ePhilippines etc joined together to resist eIndonesian aggression. Of course none of these 'minor nations' had major resources so for eIndonesia to hold them down and gain there had to be an ulterior motive.
Resources change but the facts don't... eCanada is large and has many resources that others may envy: We are a prize in itself - not a route to a resource prize as for example eMalaysia might be.
International Unity
We must now recognise that we alone cannot defend eCanada alone. I left the game due to real life matters in the first month of occupation but let us remember clearly how this occurred; partly due to reasons that we could not control Eden split up, but partly to reasons that we in part encouraged the 'Brolliance' between eCanada, eUSA and eIreland also split up. For the sake of national unity let us not cast blame.
I recall the First Invasion of eNorth America in the days of Atlantis and Peace GC and it was close... very close. eIran I believe(?) held the Northern regions of eCanada and eUSA was down to one state. After that 'Brolliance' started - an informal alliance with no 'laws' (admin ruled Treaties as unenforceable) as such - but during that time all attacks on eNorth America were resisted with ease and we even at times attempted to overthrow the ePolish domination of eFrance.
Clearly our first step must be to re-establish the 'Brolliance'.
Where do you think eSpain is fighting...? To paraphrase the CP; in unity lies strength.

I'm interested to know how this "brolliance" split up

There is an eCanada forum discussion here if you have signed up. http://tinyurl.com/qc4zwbh
it's a great read 🙂
thanks. now I found a reason to sign up
Woah alas, I cannot log in 🙁
Doesn't matter how the brolliance split up. For the sake of national unity we should forget the past and just deal with the present.
At least, that is the message I derived from the article.
It's good news for us, Sal. We know-nothing noobs are on equal footing with the rest of the battle-hardened players.
Those who forget their own history are condemned to blablabla
"...are condemned to WHARRGARBL"
History is important, though it may not always be relevant. It can provide documentations and valuable analyses after the fact, or be a simple story.
Strength and Honour
Very nice article.
Bring back the Brolliance!
I agree with you on the desire to bring back our close ties with the eUS and we're going to work on it. Things like this however take time to rebuild.
boy don't I know it...
The Broliance is starting to re-kindle it's bromance. Time is all we need.
DMV's presidency should be able to help us in that regard. Hopefully. I'm hoping!
v+s Great read! I for one support the reemergence of the Broliance. I joined eRep after it was already split up so I'm not sure why it happened, but as a eUS citizen, I would love to unite eNorth America again. From North to South and everything in between. Then dare outsiders to fuck with our continent 😛

He sent that to a lot of Canadians.
yes I believe someone asked me to vote that... My point is not about the politics but about the strategic reality.
http://prntscr.com/1qdljw yea he got a similar response from me
OMG, i haven't see that brolliance banner since forever!!!!
BBB! Bring back brolliance!
the good old days, i wouldn't mind bringing those back
look at you all, slobbering over the chance to once again suck up to a country that did absolutely NOTHING to help us during our darkest days. We owe a debt of gratitude to the Alliance of MUs who actually fought for our cause, not the eUS gov't who is too busy appointing its next ATO leader in a desperate bid to keep the establishment in power.
Say what you will about the eUS and our history, they've proven they'd rather be a good ally to eSpain than to eCanada. The idea that the bromance can be rekindled is ridiculous. If we go down that road, it will be as lapdogs and servile slaves to our southern neighbour.
Our CP was the one who drove the knife into the bromance. The US owed us nothing. Don't pretend we are the injured party here. We made our own bed.
~hyuu~
eCanada, your better then playing second fiddle to the eUSA. They dropped you, wiped you and left your country to die at the hands of the eSpanish. Yet you still wanna get on your knees and suck em off.
Whatever you once had as long been consigned to the annuals of history. Look elsewhere for your friendship. eUSA are eyeing up your resources...
