As we all know by now some days ago Congress and JCS parted ways after the last issue in a long list of issues could not be settled. There have been many articles about this, written by different people with different positions(congressmen, president, JCS member, eUS Military member or civilians). Considering this I will assume most of you know what the conflict is about.



First off I want to say that i will refer to the former official eUS Military simply with the phrase "military" in this article. If you do not like it you can just stop reading now.

One of the consequences of this split between Congress and JCS was sort of a civil war, where , as HisAirness himself pointed out on IRC, "brother fights against brother". This can be seen all over the news/forums/IRC. Militia and congress supporters attack and troll the Military. We fight back and present our side of the story. This has been ongoing for quite some time now, but we all need to be remembered from time to time that WE are all on the same side! We all fight for eUSA.



Until now the miltary has managed to keep its cool and although we lost members we were, and still are for that matter, keeping our ground. Unfortunately yesterday something happened. The Senior Officers of the Marines decided it was for the best for the US Marines, highest branch in the US Military, to go back and join the newly formed Congress Army ( or American Armed Forces). This being said each and every marine was presented with a choice to leave with the officers or stay with the commander of the marines and the rest of the military and continue without funding from Congress.



This was quite a hit for the USMC since we lost our Senior Officers and quite a few members. I do not condemn the ones that left, but in fact I wish them the best of luck. But I wanted to make a statement: We are still here! The Marines are still in business of ass-whooping! While some left there were also others, like me, who decided to stick around what is, and has been, our home for months or years.

We may have lost members, We may have lost companies or our funding, but We still have our fighting spirit! And we will always have that! Because We are The United States Marine Corps!

While we might be down in numbers, this only makes us work harder to achieve our goals. So watch out on the battlefield guys, the Marines will come blasting in to help you if you find yourself surrounded by serbs!



The only regret I have regarding this situation we are in, is the fact that political struggle has managed to throw us one against the other, brother against brother. And this has led to the marines being split into two groups, thus breaking up one of the strongest international group of military men, with a long history in eRepublik. And there is no one man to blame for that, no, we are all to blame for that. But I promise you this, I will work my ass off as will the other marines and we will keep the USMC to the high standards it deserves.
