First article and mission statement

Day 792, 18:00 Published in USA USA by TaKunCat

Who knows what I will write, I don't think the paper name is permanent but putting a name on it implies you think you have a direction. One thing I imagine is that I only write about things I can sound smart on so I will probably fall back on my expertise. This will probably be a humorless educational technical journey. I just imagine that in a pissing competition of who is the most well read the top ten possible answers for demonstrating how much you put time into the literature of erepublik will finish out with
...
4. I am so well read I (something impressive)
3. I am so well read I (something that would win most arguments)
2. I am so well read, I even read Dry Reading.
1. I am Emerick

Yes, Emerick was in my thoughts when imagining my paper. Guess what, no one else was except maybe Ryan_5 and perhaps Jewitt, not that I thought about them actually responding, just simple things like I borrowed Ryan_5's newspaper and I might have an argument with Jewitt about something ancient. Perhaps I thought about admin because having a paper adds to reasons you might get banned. By definition I speak about things people do not know and by definition if I am right that people who disagree are wrong. I am certainly not neutral and I might say something about why they are wrong which is less than considerate.

Emerick was however a major consideration when thinking of a name for the paper and a major motivation to want to join him in the literary end of this game.

I expect I will be writing on things related to the money: inflation, trade, prices, wages and value in both real life and technical applications to the game. Becoming a historical reference and trusted source for people who already think like me and respect the people I respect. I want to bridge the understanding from real life to game mechanics for people who understand.
I don't think sharing information and views should be limited to listening to people you already agree with but I will have some things to say that I think people who already see the truth in certain areas will be more likely to pay attention to
I haven't heard it in a while but I know it was a common statement that real life economics don't apply to the game. That is an incorrect statement. I would attribute that to people listening to the wrong people and misunderstanding real life, not understanding what equates and not understanding that some near constants in real life are not or have not been constant here. Instead of throwing out wrong ideas from one universe they compartmentalize realities when they see a failure of a theory. They might have learned about erepublik already but not learned from it. I testify that the economists I respect have not become wrong when their theories are placed in the eRep world.
I doubt I will have any big response or following without advertising but my name will probably be all over the monetary market. I probably won't give many trade secrets away but I would be glad to respond or make articles based on reader curiosity or direction.
Some articles I have in mind are on the very technical end of things and by that I mean older experience players appear to have not understood them and found ways to continue to not understand. I would however be happy to make simple articles for people simply wanting to be acquainted with the game.
I had in mind writing about Tax rates and what high tax rate haters like me should know and add to their understanding before talking about it in eRep. I want to list and explain in detail the issues involved in a government setting a currency price. I want to write about war and the monetary market and other big movers and factors that influence it. I would like to give people a few tips about explaining how people can and do consistently make money using the monetary market. Also historical differences that have happened as the game mechanics changed, perhaps after I have earned your respect you can trust my observational and reporting skills. Feel free to ask making new people feel welcome and interested in the game is important to me as well as most people.
