Join the new world

My last article in my paper was before a short hiatus. I was burnt out, out of touch, and my work schedule was gearing up for the holiday season. I am glad to announce I am back. I have written several articles for the Federalists recently but wanted my paper to come live with a very strong subject. So without further ado I would like to announce my candidacy for Federalist Party President.

Now a bit of history behind how the Federalists pick a party president. On the 6th of the month the party political director puts up a nomination thread on the Federalist forums. Party members than start nominating people to be the party president. When two or more candidates have been nominated, seconded, and have accepted the political director starts a poll usually on the 8th. Between the 10th and the 12th a debate is held. The debate takes place either on the forums or on irc with a log posted on the forums after. The poll closes on the 13th whoever is in the lead when polling closes is the party president elect. They run officially in game to help ward off ptoers and other unofficial candidates.



I would like to take a few minutes and tell you why I would like to be party president and tell you a few things I will be working on if elected. I will go in more depth once I have received the nomination later this week.

Why would you like to be party president?
I have been in this party since shortly after the end of World War 3. I have seen the best party presidents and I have seen some of the worst party presidents. I have seen policy changes ranging from irc chat rules to restructuring of the forums and everything in between. Thanks in large part to current party president Melissa Rose our party has every leadership position filled and every position functioning. I have worked with Melissa since I was political director and most the time we agree and get along great. We have had our differences but even after my hiatus she gave me an honorary position as Director of Awesome and a job as a party staff writer under Talio Extremist.



I want to be party president because I have seen the potential of our great party and I want to be the person to help our party fulfill that potential.

What would you like to work on as party president?
First off I want to promote from within. If you help the party on a daily basis I want you recognized and I want you trained to become the future leadership of this party. Secondly I want to finally get our media and recruitment to a level where it shows that we deserve the number one spot. I want daily media articles and I want to increase the party active member base by 5% my first month. With this parties help I can make it happen. So I ask you fellow Federalists are you up for the challenge? Are you ready to let me lead the party to it's golden age?
