FATHERLAND, MOTHERLAND ...and KIDDIELAND

I write article in conjunction with JuVin’s “Why you don’t love eMalaysia”

Are you a patriot?
In what spirit do you express your love to your land?
Traditionally, some cultures take the land as the heritage of their forefathers.
They call it FATHERLAND.
As for some examples I can give are the Russian and the German.
Perhaps they were originated from ancient people that survived the hardship through hunting and clan wars as their way of living. In which the males stand dominant in the society in every aspect. Their kids are not allowed to cry even though being bullied by others. They grow up to be tough and can be harsh sometimes…
I don’t know how elaborate further… so just understand it as you have to be man enough.

On the other hand there are some cultures put the understanding as MOTHERLAND.
‘Ibu Pertiwi’ as we Malays call it. People of some eastern countries such as India and South East Asian honour their mother very much. They protect their mothers and sisters. I guess the background as farmers and agriculture must had bringing their community closer at home; bowing down listening to their mothers nagging… nag nag nag… LOL

Lastly… KIDDIELAND
They just bring troubles to their mum and dad.
Mum, I want this candy…Wwaaaa..
Dad, it’s not fair I get the blue shirt,… why Baby get the pink dress…Waaaa!
Mum and Dad are liars, I want to go away from home…!

It’s a community that’s constantly quarrelling amongst brothers and sisters with no concrete reason. Everybody think he should be treated as a prince.

So, I ask you again…what kind of patriots you are?

I can't hear you...
Aye-Aye Captain!! Oooohhhh - Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?...
