Day 1,953, 10:06 Published in USA USA by Bucephalus92

Greetings Bros,

North America

Actually something happening in North America for a change, foremost of which (in my opinion) is Canada’s resurgence against their Spanish oppressors. Since my last report the Canadians have managed to successfully take back Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec (their capital. This grants Canada 1 food bonus and two weapons bonuses. While these victories grant Canada a much needed morale boost they have not had much of an impact on their Spanish occupiers, who still benefit from their remaining Canadian colonies in the form of cattle. The most important potential result of this is a slight rekindling of the bromance between Canada and America. While relations are nowhere near what they were before they are drastically better than how they have been in the recent past, Ligtreb wrote an excellent article at the time of the Canadian liberation expressing his desire for a move back towards our old brilliance status.

Meanwhile the United States has established a peace deal with Taiwan, who will return most of South Korea’s regions to them and keep a few, in exchange they will receive their original regions back from the United States and pay South Korea a rental fee. Also of note regarding the United States is the imminent placement of a gold mine in Washington D.C. At this point the only way the United States could miss out on the gold mine would be for all active citizens to stop fighting for the US and for others to travel to Brazil to help them out, which pretty obviously is not going to happen. So what does this mean for the United States? At this point it just means we have to keep an eye on our Eastern shore, as the only two nations that have a higher damage output than the United States, Poland and Serbia, both border our Eastern Seaboard. Because Poland is in competition with Serbia they will not be getting a gold mine, which may make them try four ours, however their preoccupation with China and Russia makes this less likely.

Mexico continues its war against Columbia, whose population has finally started dropping (down to 18315 as of right now). Mexico gains grain and iron from this occupation while Venezuela (who is helping with the occupation) gains fruit and iron.

South America

All is quiet for once in South America with no battles raging anywhere on the continent. Chile, Brazil, and Paraguay continue to be at odds with Argentina, Bolivia, and Uruguay. Who will strike the next blow? Only time will tell. At this point (because the admins are idiots) none of the countries in South America will be getting a gold mine in their capital. Because apparently its ok to combine North and South America into one competition while letting Australia and New Zealand be in their own bracket, as are South Africa and Egypt.

Europe

TWO continues to dominate in Europe aside from the areas controlled by Greece, Romania, and Turkey, who are having an easy time of it due to Bulgaria and FYROM’s departure from the region in favor of the Middle East. Asgard is suffering as Sweden has been mostly occupied by Latvia and Lithuania while Finland does battle with Estonia, whether the tide will turn yet again in this seemingly neverending conflict will rest upon whether TWO nations have enough spare damage to continue to aid the former countries of ABC.

The big battle we have all been waiting for has finally begun between Poland and China. Thus far it has been a rather boring affair with China winning every battle and pushing Poland back step by step. Whether Poland will be able to regroup and take the fight into China or whether they will abandon the mission in favor of more lucrative opportunities is something we can only learn as time goes on. As mentioned above Poland will be missing out on a gold mine due to coming in second to Serbia, however both the United States and China will be receiving gold mines and both of those countries do less damage than China, definitely something to keep an eye on. Also it should be noted that the conflict between Ireland and the UK is NOT a training war.

Africa and the Middle East

South Africa continues to be under near total occupation by Brazilian and Indonesian forces, South Africa will win the gold mine competition however they will not benefit from their victory as Brazil will hold control of their capital. As mentioned above Bulgaria and FYROM continue to focus on their Middle Eastern colonies rather than their original regions in Europe. Serbia, Bulgaria, and FYROM could all still potentially move through the Middle East to aid Poland in their battle against China however as time goes on that seems less and less likely as that would mean a direct fight against Croatia as well.

Asia

Basically everything that is happening in Asia has been covered in sections above so here are just some bullet points.

The clash between China and Poland has begun, with China winning soundly so
far.
The United States, Taiwan, and South Korea have resolved their conflict using diplomacy that will hopefully benefit everyone.

Croatia has occupied all of India, and sit ready to fight anyone that moves through the Middle East with the intention of attacking China.

Australia and Oceania

Australia continues to suffer from occupation by Indonesian and Chilean forces, however they have had several victories in resistance wars. Maybe not enough to pose a threat to Chile or Indonesia, but enough to give their population a morale boost. Australia will likely win the gold mine competition, however Chile controls their capital and will therefore be the benefactor.
