Everything is stranger in eJapan!

Day 510, 18:03 Published in Australia Japan by undergeneral

There is some crazy stuff going on in the eWorld currently and the strangest it seems is a player making an independent country called “ Democratic Imperial Japan” in Turkey. So with a couple PM's I think I've gotten to the bottom of this. I interviewed Hizumi the leader of this new country and Origineel.NL a long time citizen of eJapan

Hizumi Questions and Answers:

1.When did you first start your “empire”?
I officially declared the Independence of Democratic Imperial Japan on 7th April 2009.

2.Why did you start it?
I started Democratic Imperial Japan, mainly because I was against eKorean occupation. I would like to show that Japanese people are honest and do not wish to have foreign territory under occupation, because they respect freedom and peace. It would be better for me to have my country under foreign occupation than to have foreign countries under occupation. Also, I would like to be realistic and proposed the role of Emperor in the game. Unfortunately, the majority of eJapanese were against any kind of Emperor, for no obvious reason. Since the Emperor has no political power or any other power, while increases the realistic element, there is no reason to deny this position. If it is possible to become politician, then why not Emperor? Those who do not wish to have Emperor are free not to recognize the Emperor, but they do not have the right to prohibit those who want Emperor to have one. I think the request of minorities should be accepted if they do not harm the majority. In eJapan the majority wanted to force its opinion in minority, which is something I can not accept.

3.Is anyone actually following you?
Yes, of course. There are users who support me, for example Ishida (A.k.a Antonio) http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/1295855
There are also many others who support my movement because they recognize that I do not compromise, that I try a lot for eJapan, but also for freedom, peace and democracy. Most of my supporters are from Greece, Ireland and Spain, but I am sure that those who are honest and support freedom, peace and democracy will sympathize Democratic Imperial Japan's struggle.

4.Do you expect any future developments for your empire or will it simply remain an unofficial country?
I am trying to open Embassies in as many countries as possible, in order to inform the world about the condition in eJapan and eKorea. The mission of Democratic Imperial Japan is to fight for democracy, freedom and peace and to show the honesty and dignity of Japanese people. By the way, the state is not an unofficial country. It is an independent, active state, it has embassies in many countries and plays an important role in the New World. Perhaps our way can be considered different, but that does not mean that we do not exist or that we do not make progress. I have already started translating the WIKI in Japanese. After the translation is finished, I plan to invite real Japanese to play the game. This will surely change the condition. It is really sad because very few real Japanese are in eJapan. The same problem also exists for eKorea. It is difficult to stabilize states without active native population. For this reason translations are required.

5.Are you ever going to go back to eJapan?
I would like to return to eJapan very much, because it is my country. However, I can not return to a state that has foreign territory under occupation, because I can not accept to be considered invader. One more problem is that and many citizens are quite negative, which makes staying in eJapan not very pleasant. It is very sad, because my actions have been misunderstood by eJapan, but there is always time for discussion. I can return to eJapan, only if I find the conditions I want. I prefer to live self-exiled in eGreece, than to conform in order to live in eJapan.

Origineel.NL's Question and Answers:

1. What caused him to decide he will start his own country?
. Hizumi joined Japan about a month ago and after a week or so he came up with the idea of having a Emperor. We had several discussion about it on the eJapanese Forum, Hizumi proposed himself as a candidate for it and few others did as well. After two weeks of discussing we decided to start a poll to see how many people were for and against a emperor. The Majority voted to not have a Emperor. After the voting Hizumi went crazy and suddenly started to call everybody greedy foreigner who only were in Japan to gain power. The next day he posted the article about his own little Japan in Greece.

2. How was the eJapanese response to him self-declaring himself emperor?
Most people were shocked that Hizumi who at first seemed to be a promising citizen, suddenly went crazy and started to called everybody in Japan greedy foreigner who had taken over Japan.

3. Your opinion on him declaring himself an independent state?
I find it a bit childish to act this way just because people didnt want one of your ideas. I also find it offensive how he talks about the people that have kept Japan alive. Without the foreigners he his taking about Japan would have been wiped off the Map early in the game.

4.Will eJapan ever take him back?
Will eJapan ever take him back?
After all the things Hizumi has said about us i dont think anyone here is looking forward at his return.
