Every Citizen a Guerilla Warrior

Day 977, 09:55 Published in USA USA by Jasper Signa
eUSA Needs new citizens for Guerilla Warfare
As America reels with the loss of California and our Croatian allies. It is obvious that America needs to improve the use of our most valuable national resource. Our new citizens. Yes friends, new citizens the lifeblood of our economy, the future field marshals of the eUS Military and the thing that will help us win the war against the Russians and their allies. . . if they don’t quit in their first week. New citizens are those that fill our forums and chat channels with thousands of questions that we have all answered before. How do I eat? How do I get a job? Why is my Health at 40? Why am I in California, Russia?

The Problem eRoad Kill
New Citizens have no frame of reference and are like children who wander into the middle of a movie and want to know the storyline. They are lost and confused despite the fact most of them are eager to start their new e-life and kick some Russian butt.

The problem now is that their eagerness to get involved has turned so many new citizens into e-roadkill, the unfortunate consequence of getting run over by a Russian tank.

If these new citizens manage to find our DOD Citizen Orders, from underneath the Serbian troll attacks, they are given instructions to deploy to various regions and assigned the basic strategy of defend the capital region from attack. That’s an easy task right? Login deploy to the capital, exit the battleground DONE!

So while many of these new citizens deploy nobly at last login to capital regions in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii or even California . . . many are waking up the next day to find their health at 40 finding themselves on the wrong side of a Russian Tank attack just after server reset while they were asleep.

Without gold to pay for health they can’t work effectively, they can’t train effectively and they can’t help defend eUSA effectively. Sure if they wait a full day they can probably reset to 70 but what do you do in the mean time? If they work, they screw up our businesses if they don’t work they can’t earn one of the few medals still left for new players.

So what is the average no attention span, American to do? Easy answer, they throw up their hands and say, F$*& this Shit! Why am I going to play a game where I can’t do anything and eSuicide leaving eRepublik for other games that don’t necessarily require money to participate at an entry level? When this happens we are wasting a potentially powerful resource.

The Solution Guerrilla Warfare
Now we know turnover has always been a problem and integrating new citizens has been an important goal of the eUS Department of Interior and many veterans have written countless articles on how to succeed. However, as a country I do not think we have figured out how to use these young child soldiers to help put Ivan in his place.

The Marines have a motto. . . that every Marine is a Rifleman. . . well I believe that in these dark times we need every citizen to be a guerrilla war fighter.

Yes Friends, we must return to the military strategies of our forefathers. Strategies like the battle of Cowpens, in the Revolutionary war where citizen militias fired their 2 shots against the British regulars and then turned tail and ran until the professional army could come to the rescue.

Here is what I think we MUST do to use new eUS citizens effectively in our wars.

First, make sure they find and read DOD Citizen Orders by subscribing and voting every day

A 1 day old citizen is not going to do anything fighting against an online Russian Field General in a Q5 Tank, who drops 1.49 gold for a rocket launcher. Even with a decent quality weapon, that recruit is going to turn into nothing but eRoad Kill.

We must tell them to do what they CAN do.

What is that you ask? Well lets start by taking Russian tiles during Russian off peak hours in any battle that they can. Taking tiles while boring performs an important service to the eUS without a lot of risk.

Let’s steer new citizens to IRC channels where citizen militia leaders can coordinate and coach them to deploy to an empty spot in the map AWAY from the enemy and start moving slowly to make the map turn from red to blue.

If an enemy logs on and starts to approach while they are clearing tiles the new citizen can RETREAT from the battle and then redeploy to another battle, or if there are no other battles going on the guerilla warrior could wait to another time when the enemy leaves to redeploy to that same location and continue his sabotage.

Yes, yes I understand its unamerican to retreat but this is war people and its better then being eDead and of no use to our country.

Let new citizens help by taking tiles and then living to fight another day. Then when they are done for the night RETREAT before they log off every night.

Every Russian tile taken when they sleep is one more tile they have to take the next day in their mass attack. Every tile that is Blue for us is two more minutes that Ivan has to sit and wait to take it back.

This gives the eUS something very valuable. . . Time and frees up our professional forces to coordinate on battles that are ending to maximize our success in multiple theaters.
