Europe Explodes Again

Day 888, 14:50 Published in Canada Canada by Auk Rest

I know this is Monday, but I don't think a war review could wait anymore so I am publishing today. First of all; before I plunge head first into the mess of this week, I'm going to say THANK YOU CANADA for electing me in Manitoba. Let's begin. (Today's article is fairly long)

Three Nations Commit Suicide

CASE #001
Subject Name : Poland
Cause of Death : Inflated ego, arrogance, and greed

Yes, it is true, the Polish empire has fallen. Earlier in this week, to add to already deteriorated relations between the United States and Poland, Poland moved into Spain's Canary Islands, which borders Mexico. The real reason for the move here was to invade Mexico and greedily extend Poland to high oil. Max McFarland and others in the USA were preparing for war from Poland and some were even threatening to defend Mexico against Poland.

Despite spending thousands of gold to declare war on Mexico, Poland never invaded them. The chaos of the weekend brought Poland's attention elsewhere. Slovenia first invaded them in Rhone Alps, their precious french wood colony. Brazil invaded them in the Canaries, which was Poland's last region in Spain that could possibly reach the Rhone Alps. The Polish president had decided to RW the Spanish regions back for some reason.

Poland first devoted on the Canaries, but then tried to refocus on Rhone Alps, but Russia invaded Poland in Pomerania, a Polish home region, and spread forces even thinner. Poland somehow managed to lose their wood colony, Canary Islands AND Pomerania. From Pomerania, Russia attacked the Polish grain colony of Brandenburg and Berlin, a native German region. Russia won AGAIN, even with no other battles going around in Poland.

The battle in Rhone Alps and Pomerania have now stranded THOUSANDS of Poles behind enemy lines and many were outraged at the loss of their wood colony. Poland is now down to only original regions. I hope Poland will learn from its losses and attempt reconciliation with the United States and the rest of the alliance.

CASE #002
Name : Romania
Cause of Death: Starting a fight they can't win

Romania and Croatia decided to invade Hungary and try to put strain away from Poland. Croatia stood a chance with 15 MPPs actively activated against the Huns, but Romania was without that advantage. Despite this, Romania actually won the region they attacked. Croatia has been successful in all of the regions they have attacked and are winning the new battles that have opened.

This is somewhat due to the fact that many Hungarian 2-clickers are freaking out at China attacking Heilongjiang after liberating strategic Jilin from Russia. China and India are also blocking Serbia from dealing damage to Romania or Croatia due to attacking Serbian positions in the east.

Romania will undoubtedly be destroyed unless somehow Hungary is defeated. Croatia theoretically could stand a chance against Hungarian counterattack, but then you remember Croatia's geographic location. They are surrounded by Serbia, Slovenia and Hungary. Hungary and Slovenia have MPPs activated against Croatia.

In another stupid move, Romania decided to attack Bulgaria and also Serbia. Romania WANTS to be conquered; as their minister of finance said it would mostly benefit Romania.

CASE #003
Name: Spain
Cause of Death: Stupidity

Spain; seeing their buddy Poland lose Rhone Alps, had the bright idea of attacking Brazil and activating 18 MPPs against them in order to get a free war with Spain. Spain did manage to win Rhone Alps, but the only way Poland will get back is by going through the Czech Republic, Austria, and Switzerland.

Now Spain is faced with a counterattack from Brazil and no way to stop it. I'm sorry Spain, not a good move on your part. Sure you won Rhone Alps...but you're about to lose your country.

Conclusion

The only victory for EDEN this week was the resistance war in Jilin and short lived successes in Hungary. PHOENIX now has the power to wipe Spain and Romania from the map, and Poland is now in the position of a crippled old man. Sweden; surprisingly is the last foreign holder in Germany, and Spain's French territory will likely disappear once Brazil runs them over.
