Euro 2016 Sweepstake - [Completed]
Huey George
As a reminder for Euro 2016 I thought I'd run a bit of a sweepstake / giveaway for citizens of the United Kingdom for a bit of fun and to give a little back to the community (or at least 26 random UK citizens). Portugal defeated France tonight to bring the tournament to a conclusion.
Also as a reminder the Ministry of Home Affairs has added to the prizes on offer. So my thanks again to them for doing so.
Knockout Phase
Round of 16
Quarter-Finals
Semi-Finals
Final
The Prizes on offer were;
Winner of the tournament = 150 Q7 Weapons, 300 Q7 Food & 1 Q3 House + (1500.00 GBP from the MoHA)
Runner-up of the tournament = 100 Q7 Weapons, 200 Q7 Food & 1 Q2 House + (1000.00 GBP from the MoHA)
Losing semi-finalist = 50 Q7 Weapons, 100 Q7 Food & 1 Q1 House + (600.00 GBP from the MoHA)
Each goal your team scores* = 5 Q7 Weapons
Each clean-sheet your team keeps** = 10 Q7 Weapons
*Excluding penalty shoot-outs
**Prior to penalty shoot-outs
The 26 UK citizen and their randomly chosen team participating and final prize allocation details
*Madelina and MacJ both manage to chose a number already selected however as all the numbers have been selected and it is a bit of a giveaway and for fun I've made an exception and will award prizes to them alongside the citizen who chose the number first however I'll make no more duplicates o/
Congratulations to VoodooMike71 as Portugal held firm against all opposition to come out as the eventual winners. Congratulations also to WookieO as France finished as the defeated Finalist also to Piran and Sir Jimmy Savile as Wales and Germany respectively both made it as far as the Semi-Finals.
All citizen prizes will be on their way shortly. Hope you enjoyed the Euro 2016 tournament!
To end I'll place a couple of "adverts"

Well done Huey, nice competition...the best bit was all we had to do was pick a number and you did all the rest 😃
Glad you enjoyed it, WookieO! I enjoyed administering it \o/
...and I expected so much from Austria(!)
Thanks for the opportunity Huey (good idea.)
You are welcome, Euphorbus. I was surprised with Austria's performance too as they were a supposed dark horse at the start of the tournament...
thx Huey!
