Introducing the eSouth African Poker Club

If any of y'all want to play some poker, I started the eSouth African Poker Club on Pokerstars.net, so we can organize some games and play together. It'd be nice to play tourneys for in-game ZAR (or whatever we agree on).

Here's how to download Pokerstars (play money version) and get in on the awesome.

1. Download the program at Pokerstars.net
2. Register a username and so on. No sensitive information required.
3. Once you've installed, registered and all that jazz, open the program and go 'Home Games'.
4. Click 'Join a Poker Club'.
5. Enter the Club ID 515158 and the invitation code onsvirjou
6. You're done. I will have to accept your membership request before you can access the club. Once you're in, you'll find eSouth Africa Poker under the' My Poker Clubs' listing.

I hope to organize regular games, but while we're just starting, come find me or anyone else who might want to play on IRC or the forum.

TOURNAMENT SATURDAY (DAY 1383) AT 11:00 EREPUBLIK TIME

Our first tournament will be Saturday (Day 1383) at 11:00 eRepublik time.

Game: Texas Hold'em
Starting Chips: 3000
Blinds: Rise every 5min

The entry fee is 500 ZAR, which you must send to me in-game as soon as you register. Please send me a PM when you send the ZAR, so that I can confirm.

Do not send the money until you have successfully registered for the tournament. The tournament is listed '500 ZAR Holdem', and can only be found in the area for the eSouth African Poker Club.

The payout schedule will follow the Pokerstars format, and will depend on how many players compete in the tournament. The entry fee and payouts listed in the Pokerstars interface are just Pokerstars Play Money. The payouts will be in ZAR according to the same ratios listed in the tournament lobby.

Money will be payed out as quickly as possible, and in 24 hours at the very latest.

If, after registering and paying, you decide not to play, please unregister and send me a PM. I will return your money as soon as I catch your message. Please do not stay registered if you do not intend to play.

There is no rake, no house cut, no administrative fee, or any such thing. Every bit of the entry fees go to the prize pool.

Update: If you do not have 500 ZAR, you may instead pay your entry fee with 500 USD, 500 BRL, 500 ESP, 500 GDP, 500 CNY, 334 PLN, or 1 gold. If you win an amount higher than 500 ZAR, you will receive your entry fee back in the currency you paid, with the remainder paid out in ZAR. 500 ZAR is understood to equal 1 gold, 334 PLN, and 500 of the remaining currencies listed above.

Even Better Update: To encourage citizens to join in on the good old gamblin' fun, I will send two free Q5 tanks to each citizen who has registered and sent their entry fee for the Saturday tournament. (Obviously, if you decide to unregister before the tournament, you must return your free tanks before I will refund your entry fee).
