Ok so another insider popped up today. Since I had more spare time than i had while reading older Insiders I took a closer look at the 2 pictures shown. Yes I know that the exact 2 pictures were released in fact 20 days ago.

Ok so I realised the pictures showed the number of turns and the time since the battle started. This sparked the ideea to find out just how much a turn lasts.

The first impulse is to divide the number of minutes (1905) by the number of turns (625). This leads us to believe that 1 turn lasts 3.048 minutes, or 182.88 seconds.
You can easily see that it is not quite an exact number, so either the timer/number of turns in the picture are a bit wrong or delayed (this is eR so ... there is a chance that happened) or not all the turns last the same.

This seems quite logical since the War Module is designed so that a battle ends in as little time as possible( 24 hours minimum though). So the ideea came to my mind that the turns in The First 24 hours have a standard length and after that, when the battle goes into Over Time the turns last less so the battle takes place at a faster rate increasing the chance it will end faster.

Assuming this was true I went on to try and find some reasonable timings for the 2 lengths of the turns : Standard Turn ( ST</strong> ) and Over Time Turn ( <strong>OTT ). After some math (done by the computer, not me😃 ) I came up with the most reasonable possibility in front of you.

Standard Turn ( ST ) = 9 minutes or 540 seconds
Over Time Turn ( OTT ) = 1 minute or 60 seconds

If we consider this times the real ones the number of turns and time matches exactly in the pictures shown in the Insider. Using this times we have a round number of minutes, with no aproximation as we would have in other cases.

There is only one more possibility that contains integer numbers (not aproximated) but it is far less likely as the ST would have to be 40 minutes and the OT would have to be 76 secons or 1 minute and 16 seconds.

In my opinion there is a 50-60% chance I am right about the length of the turns being:
Standard Turn ( ST ) = 9 minutes or 540 seconds
Over Time Turn ( OTT ) = 1 minute or 60 seconds
And even if it is not I still think it is a good prediction about eRepublik V2 and deserves at least a vote 😃
