eRepublik Tomorrow

Day 1,031, 02:38 Published in USA USA by Myles Robinson

Well, in a move that most find shocking, it appears the game administrators have taken heed to the feedback to eRepublik Rising, admitted mistakes, and are seeking to improve the game and give the players what they want. In the latest insider, the administrators acknowledge that they have messed some things up and also complicated the game too much for many people. So, they are following the goals that many players have asked them to set-- make the game simpler and lessen the necessity of needing gold to advance.

In short, this is what they are changing:

TO BE DELETED
-Happiness
-Time Management
-Leisure and Study
-Battle Turns
-Flash Player Battle Map
-Tiles
-Battle Boosters (Gold Sink)

TO BE KEPT
-Manual Food Consumption
-PvP
-Various types of weapons
-Military skills
-Military rank

TO BE ADDED

-Daily Quests and Missions
-Adviser (Return of Plato?)
-Battle Speed of Play
-Experience Points for fighting (good)
-More hero medal opportunities
-More free fights for every player (not sure what this one would entail)
-More intense battles (same as above)

They say that are keeping what was good of eRepublik Rising and merging it with what was good of V1 to enhance gameplay. Most shocking of all, they promise that much of this will be completed by the end of this month! We'll see if that actually happens. Hopefully this can enhance gameplay and stop the decline we have been suffering lately. In addition to this, they say they're making the home page better and also simplifying registering for the game to make it easier to recruit people. My only concern with this last point is that it could perhaps also means simplifying the creation of multis. The best thing the admin could do is introducing more captchas-- particularly for when people are voting.

I will say that the War Module, while difficult for some because of the graphics and also time-consuming, made things need more strategy and was more fun in that regards. I would have liked to see something that could give players a choice of helping the war effort a little bit a quicker module for them, and then the more in-depth strategy for those who had the time.

Anyways, I look forward to seeing what comes of it.

eUS National Security Update: Party President Elections
If the current numbers hold after the review is finished in a few hours, it would seem that we were successful in securing the Top 5 parties against PTO attempts by our enemies. Even better, it seems that Pizza the Hut was finally removed from power in the Conservative Party (formerly the Republican Party) and will not be able to try hijack the congressional elections for his Hungarian masters this month. It is unfortunate that we had to use a counter-PTO in the form of Claire Littleton instead of supporting the actual Republican/Conservative party members to defeat Pizza, but anyone is better than having that Hut in power anymore.

Of course, numbers can change after the review, but tentatively, good job everyone! Congratulations to the party presidents, Rod Damon, the military, and the FEC for all their work in this matter.
