The United Netherlands was the official name of the merger between Belgium and the Netherlands during 04/2009-02/2010.


The United Netherlands was created under approval of both the Belgian and Dutch governments to counter the PTO-attack that happened in the Belgian congressional elections of March 25 2009. A Spanish group called "Las tropas imperiales" managed to seize a majority of the congressional seats resulting in a PTO. To prevent the Spanish PTO'ers to gain more power by winning the CP elections the Belgian president CreveRoeland decided to ask the Netherlands to annex the Belgian territories and create a union between the Netherlands and Belgium. This unification made sure that the PTO group was no longer a majority and created a vivid democratic state. However some Belgian citizens disagreed and decided to migrate to the UK.

The addition of Belgium to the Dutch territories was very healthy for the Dutch economy at that time because they had an employee shortage whilst Belgium had plenty of workforce.

Although the United Netherlands existed for ten months it only had 4 different presidents. The longest reigning president (non-consecutive) was ThomasRed, he was a real-life Belgian that was CP for five terms and two half terms. He did two half terms because he took over ArtemIvanov's position who was CP directly after (and before) ThomasRed. In January 2010 ThomasRed resigned as CP explaining his second half term.

At June 23 2009 American soldiers started two resistance wars in the United Netherlands to "free" Belgium from it's supposed oppressors. They started the resistance wars in Wallonia and Brussels but both Dutch and Belgian citizens fought side by side to protect the United Netherlands. This war was later called "Operation Belgian Waffle".

Starting on October 23 2009 a Romanian group called "The Group" started a resistance war in Flanders to "liberate" Belgium or atleast Flanders. They where joined by American Seal Team Six and other EDEN forces. Their true purpose is still unknown but they managed to take Flanders and the Romanian group got a six to four majority in congress. On November fourth EDEN forces started new resistance wars in both Wallonia as Brussels. They won Brussels but the union managed to save Wallonia. Many Belgian citizens fled Flanders and Brussels to Wallonia to stay in the union with the Netherlands which lasted for a little while longer. Later the UK stepped in and liberated Belgium from the Romanian PTO'ers creating an independent Belgium state once again.
