Epic Troll or Epicest Troll?

I have some shocking news.

I trolled you, America.

I trolled Necros Xiaobian, I trolled the Imperialist Party, I trolled SEES, I faked a power-struggle with Emerick and Gulden Draak and trolled the eUS forums. I suffered the slings and arrows reserved for a traitor and in doing so, I saved SEES from a certain PTO. Emerick, Gulden, the SEES Leadership and a very few others knew the truth. But, be not fooled, this was not a victory.

I bear a grave warning for you, SEES. Glorious as this was, it was only a stay of execution. Our work has been pitiful for months and nothing has gotten through. On election days, I command less snipers than several 6th Parties. We have been the target of PTO's for three months in a row and we have only been saved by #ATO, the Libertarian Party, NoS 'Dive Bar' and the cunning of a great politician who will remain nameless but might be the author of this.

I'd like to tell you the story of one of our members, one of the people I lied to and someone who was hurt by my supposed betrayal. Turd Fergusen argued endlessly with me when he caught wind of my feigned PTO and, as election night progressed, was paying two gold for everyone that would vote against me and save SEES, yet another time. Fortunately, he was talked out of this and told everything was under control before he'd spent much, but did lose 8 gold in this most bro of efforts.

I'd like to ask anyone who are as proud of his efforts as I am to donate whatever partial gold they have to him. That is, I have 3.57 Gold in my account and will be donating him .57 Gold. If SEES is to have a future, this is the sort of dedication that is needed. That sort of dedication is more valuable to us than any gold you could offer. Keep your gold, give us your love.

There is another story, I must relate. NX gets a lot of shit from people, but he welcomed me into the Imperialist Party and, in fact, told me I would be in charge, not him. He has been a good friend these past few days, as I plotted the demise of his plan and I must admit, I feel bad about having mislead him more than anyone. He trusted me implicitly and I didn't deserve it for a second.

Although, by our standards, this was a PTO attempt Necros Xiaobian did not want to PTO us. He wanted to merge with us, to give us a new energy and a new direction and to use the coalition he founded to strengthen us and therefore he sought to recruit someone from within SEES leadership. What I understood that he did not is that none of our most valuable players would have ever gone along with anything that took on any pretense of destroying SEES without Emerick's order and that Emerick would never allow control to be wrested from him by force. Nor would I.

I broke the news to NX earlier and his disappointment was palpable. It was not the disappointment of a man who's statue was vandalized or who's thunder was stolen. It was the disappointment of someone who had a lofty goal and had it stolen from under his nose by someone he trusted, someone he liked.

So, here we are.

NX, having gone to great lengths to destroy us and take what is ours.

We, having crippled his attempt and forcing him to put off his ambitions for another month.

What lies in store for us? Yes, we won a great victory and played brilliantly and today we are all laughing, but we won't be laughing soon. The work ahead of us is immense and, I happen to know, NX has the ability to make it harder. The horrors he spoke of visiting upon our crucial communication channels and infrastructure certainly gave me pause. I, like SEES, am not intimidated by threats or even by being attacked and I, like many of you, would fight to the bitter end.

Should we, then, go on at each others throats? Each of us claiming less and less significant victories until all but our most fervent members grow tired of the death struggle? Will S.E.E.S. muddle through NX's technical savy, watching our channel fill with spam bots and our forums over loaded to the point of being useless? Will the Imperialists put their lofty and admirable ambitions on the back burner while they grapple with a cunning and tenacious enemy?

Why? What does any of this gain us? We have the same ambitions and strategy. Who would really benefit from any of this? The USWP would certainly quietly continue to gather strength and further marginalize all other parties, as they pick up those of our members who tire of our mindless bickering and petty one-ups. In the end, both SEES and the Imperialists would loose out and to make this worse, we'd loose out to the other's greatest assets.

Are we that stupid and short-sighted? Does the thrill of a fight appeal to us so keenly that we're unable to accept the obvious truth beneath our noses?

I should hope not.

The only reasonable option is for both of us to cast off the skin, which is too loose on SEES and too tight on the Imperialists; for us to put aside our differences and join together in a fascist union. Emerick has expressed an interest in the idea and this is, really, what NX wanted all along and, to be entirely honest, this was my wildest fantasy about how this would turn out. I dared not even speak this hope to myself, less my breath might collapse it, so fragile was this possibility to me. Wonders truly never cease. SEES needs new energy and direction while Imperialists need numbers and organization.

We were unable to negotiate tonight, since, you know, this is a game and we all have other stuff to do.

But, as a gesture of good faith, I'll be renaming our party the Imperialist Party as soon as is possible and to symbolize the combining of our interests, I will be keeping the SEES logo. This is all only temporary, until we can agree on a new name and banner for us to unite under.

If we cannot come to an agreement, I will of course change it back to SEES.

So, what will it be?

Do we gleefully troll for a few days before we realize the weight of the millstone around our necks?

Does IP lose a month's worth of momentum to plotting the downfall of those who played them for fools?

Or do we come together and create the most epic of trolls, to put these things aside, flip the bird one step further at everyone who thinks they've got us figured and even troll what we figured we'd do and, instead, come together to be stronger and badder than ever before?

I choose the Epicest of Trolls.
