End of the Road

Day 659, 17:41 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Deathtoll32

Greetings to my fellow eUK Members! (and other foreigners who might be on here)

I'll get to the point quickly. I'm leaving Erepublik. It's been fun while it lasted, but I'm done for good. Now you get to read my story if you feel like it; I'm not a powerhouse like Dish, Jerry or Hassan, and I understand if many people skip over me.

For those of you who don't know, I was originally an Emerican. Way back in beta (May '0😎, obviously. I was a two-clicker, and for the first month or so that's what i did. I didn't think there was much else to the game, and yet some reason i still played it. I moved to Sweden, because I thought they had the strongest currency in the world at that point (they might have, i dont remember). Anyways, I quickly found out that there were actual Swede's playing the game. Swede's that didn't speak English.

So I decided to move to Italy; I was a bit dumb as you can tell. I kinda thought there would be people who spoke English there, yet it seemed like everyone i came in contact with only spoke Italian. Once again, I moved within a day of moving there. My next stop was Ireland. Victor Petrescu arrived a few days before me in fact. He tookover Ireland as many will remember, and he claimed to have its best interest at heart. Well....I kinda fell for that, and started writing media articles to help his cause. Probably not the best way to win the hearts of the Irish. I got word through Victor's crew that the nation was going down pretty much, so I jumped ship.

Finally. The eUnited Kingdom. I looked at all the party allignments, and the UKRP was my choice. Not only were they Right-Winged, they had Dishmcds! I forgot to mention that actually. Dish was my first Party President ever, way back in Emerica in the "eRepublikans for Change" Party. He had run to eUK a little before I did, and now i was back fighting for the same side. For the first time I found out there was a forum that all the eUK members were on. It opened a whole new section of the game to me.

The UKRP really sent my Political career skyrocketing. I became Mayor (position held in Beta) in Nottingham. the eUK used them as the NHS (before it existed), and I was pretty good at it; it doesn't take much skill obviously. From there, I became Congressman. I never drafted my own piece of legislation, but i sure as hell loved to debate. I'm not as abrasive as some others these days, but I love to debate.

I tried becoming Party President.....I think twice? Perhaps it was only one time, because i can only remember losing to Jerry big time in the UKRP PP elections. I think that was October '08. My political career was still stable, I was a Congressman still. Novermber and December I was UnderMinister of Finance, and in December became Minister of Finance when Rayf Drayson stepped down. It was then that the UKRP chose to back me for the Prime Minister candidacy.

I was an underdog, and most will agree that Relic was expected to win. I won by 10 votes. The month that ensued was, to say the least, uneventful. I was not as good as i had hoped i would be. However, we were ok. In ATLANTIS, we decided to embargo South Korea, yet we weren't allowed to explain why to our respective Congress. I somehow managed to convince the House of Commons without telling them anything (besides that ATLANTIS was doing it) that we were going to embargo South Korea. And after that came the fights in HoC about me being a Dictator because I wouldn't help Germany against Sweden even if Congress voted Yes on it.

From there I fell off the eUK map. I ended my term, didn't return to Congress, and left for the Philippines in March. I donated my 450 GOLD fortune to the cause of helping the Filipino people. Big Boy Bulley had approached me about taking them over for their benefit. We did. I was a Congressman twice(?) there. Then I returned to the eUK in June.

I joined the PCP for multiple reasons which i can now say as I dont care about offending people.
1. I wanted Communism dammit. Why cant this game have some of that?
2. The UKRP was indeed sinking in terms of quality. I believed all of the leaders to be Facis-ts for the most part. Stan was returning to PP of PCP, and I knew I'd be better off flying under his banner.

Two elections later (CP and Congress), and I have realized my political career is over. During both of these elections, though, I was a part of the Special Forces (Para's). I enjoyed combat kinda. It's still boring to me though. I had never thought highly of combat in this game. But thank you very much to the Para's for helping me get to Colonel.

Dishmcds, you helped me get to PM and inspired me for a while. Then we ended up on different sides of the spectrum and clashed a few times.
Stan, thanks for the trust you placed in me during my time in PCP. I truly enjoyed working with you for the first time as a PCP member.
Wellington Chase Bank, thank you for agreeing to give my account to The People's Commune. Now I don't have to wait for the term to expire before leaving. (I'll pop in when it does, just to make sure you gave the Commune the money.)
Widdows, glad we finally ended up on the same side for once. I know we had a few arguments way back when, but hopefully we're past that. Good luck with whatever you decide to take on to keep yourself interested.
Bob Boblo, you don't need to give me all those BOBLO Awards if you don't feel like it now.
Jerry, you did amazing as PM, I wish I could have done as well
Anyone else that I happened to forget/not mention, sorry. There's a ton of you who have helped make this game more interesting for me. It's a ton of fun, I've just been here too long for my own good. Good luck to all of you.
