May 30
eSweden is still awaiting a response from President Kalle Holm as eUS President scrabman mediated a peace treaty between eSweden/ePoland and eGermany. Heavy fighting is still going on since yesterday in Saxony-Anhalt, while North Rhine-Westphalia has been held successfully by Bundeswehr forces. The eSwedish government has during the past month demanded permanent ownership of the high-grain Schleswig-Holstein region. Försvarsmakten confirmed that "The war is going according to plans" but could not discuss general objectives further.
Congressmen jbmalin (FBS, nationalist) has stated that the party will argue for maintaining control over occupied territories, reinforcing eSwedish positions when able. eGermans in occupied territories will be welcomed as eSwedish citizens. Minority party congress member Mananm (MSAP, communist) has denounced the "Capitalist action" taken by the government.
eGerman commentator Habraka Abrivianius dismissed the eSwedish claims as grossly unfair, fearing that eGermany under the treaty would turn into a puppet state controlled by eSweden. This reporter has just contacted the eGerman president and is awaiting an official response.
Since the last election, eSweden has seen a new liberal, pro-market party, The Progress Party. Party sources have in the past spoken out for increased Nordic cooperation as a primary replacement for the split Atlantis alliance. Critics have proclaimed their lack of a distinct policy as their main drawback. The party has published a paper proclaiming to detail it's economic policy, but voters have remained unfazed as the party spoke well about general cooperation and progress, and exclaimed employment as one of their main values. The party controls no congress posts.
And before anyone comments... Yes, this reporter is a PP member. I'd leave the coverage to someone else if I weren't the only one. :/
