C'est toujours la même routine. 1. Travailler 2. S'entrainer 3. Combattre 4. Acheter 5. Troller les forums 6.????? 7.PROFIT! Et puis, plus rien. Personne n'aime être appelé eBébé, mais quand votre rayon d'action est aussi limité, c'est plutôt une bonne analogie.
On parle donc d'eBabyBoom: inciter le plus grand nombre de personnes possible à s'inscrire sur le site, afin de pouvoir se mesurer aux plus grandes puissances du jeu. Nous ne sommes que la onzième puissance mondiale et nous avons besoin de main d'œuvre, beaucoup de main d'œuvre. Seulement, beaucoup de naissances entraînent beaucoup de fausses-couches, et dans le cas du Nouveau Monde, à un taux très important.

Une fois passée l'inscription à eRepublik, on se retrouve violemment confronté à la routine décrite précédemment en version encore plus frustrante: 1. Travailler 2. S'entrainer 3. Revenir demain. C'est à ce moment que se trouve le premier risque de fausse couche, exprimé par un: "C'est tout?!".
Quand un sentiment de frustration apparaît aussi vite dans un nouveau jeu, beaucoup sont tentés d'abandonner et de passer à un autre jeu. C'est un premier mur. Heureusement, des autres vont combattre. "Qu'est ce que je peux faire maintenant?".

Ils découvrent le forum de l'eFrance, forum.eRepublik.fr, et s'en suit un traditionnel sujet "Bonjour, c'est moi!". Accueils chaleureux, conseils rapides, premier réconfort: ce forum n'est pas mort. On regarde le forum plus en détails et on est vite submergé: des tonnes de sujets, beaucoup de termes techniques auxquels on ne peut pas toucher avec seulement un jour de jeu (Congrès, MPP, nouveaux décrets, etc...), des forums attirants mais à l'apparence puérile... "Mais, arrêtez de m'appeler eBébé! Non je n'veux pas de papa ou de maman!". Si on en est arrivé là, on ne va pas pour autant lâcher l'affaire. Ici encore on se sent écrasé par la quantité d'informations, un peu frustré, mais surtout un peu lassé. Ce moment est un deuxième mur, plus léger, mais il suffirait ne serait-ce que d'une petite distraction et tout le parcours s'effondrerait sur lui-même. Enfin, pour les plus sérieux et persévérants, un tour sur le wiki officiel s'impose pour comprendre un peu plus et faire le tri dans la masse d'informations que crée eRep.

"Oh, c'est en anglais". Troisième et dernier mur, la barrière de la langue. eRepublik demeure un jeu où, à défaut d'être bilingue, il faut beaucoup de notions d'anglais pour bien réussir. Pour preuve la page d'accueil. La version anglaise, très bien réalisée simplifie au maximum et offre pas mal de façons de commencer la découverte du jeu. Notions de base, dernières nouvelles, biographie du jour, même si il y a encore beaucoup d'infos, elles sont disposées de façon intéressante. La version française, quant à elle, est cruellement mince. Entrez dans le menu principal, à défaut de pouvoir faire autre chose, et vous vous confronterez très rapidement à une page en anglais. A cela, le ministère de l'éducation répond ceci: wiki officiel francophone d'eRepublik. Bonne initiative, mais encore incomplète pour le moment.
C'est à ce moment, le deuxième plus meurtrier pour les nouveaux inscrits, que j'ai trouvé ma parade, la traduction du wiki.

En effet, je fais dorénavant parti du gouvernement en tant que fonctionnaire, traducteur. Place très confortable car non influencée par le gouvernement au pouvoir, quel qu'il soit. J'apprends toutes les notions importantes du jeu sans avoir à poser de questions, je participe activement à l'effondrement d'un des murs (sujet d'actualité) et je casse la routine en trouvant à chaque fois un nouveau sujet plus intéressant. Le seul problème étant qu'il y a un boulot monstre à abattre. En tant que nouvel inscrit, j'ai trouvé où placer mon enthousiasme. Mais ce n'est pas le cas de tout le monde. Toutes ces fausses-couches...

Avant d'organiser une prochaine campagne de eBabyboom, il faut qu'un maximum de citoyens travaillent à effacer les barrières de frustration qui sépare une simple inscription de la naissance d'un véritable citoyen. Et c'est comme cela que l'on pourra bâtir une eFrance forte, remplie de joueurs qui a défaut d'être expérimentés, seront bien informés.

We look at the forum more in detail and we are fast submerged, tons of subjects, many technical terms in which we cannot get in touch with only a 1-day experience in the game (Congress, MPP, new decrees, etc.), attractive forums but with a childish appearance "Come on, stop calling me eBaby! Here again, we feel crushed by the massive number of informations, a little deprived, but especially a little tired. This moment is the second wall, lighter, but still it would be enough, if you happen to be distracted by something else, for all your efforts to collapse on themselves. Finally, for the most serious and persevering of them, a tour on the official wiki is necessary to understand a little more and to sort the mass of information created by eRep.

"Oh, it's in english ". The third and last wall, the language barrier. eRepublik remains a game where, if you're not bilingual, some English knowledge is required in order to achieve anything.
As a proof, the homepage. On the one hand, you have the english version, well realized, simple offers quite a lot of ways to begin to discover the game. Basic notions, latest news, biography of the day, even if there is also a lot of informations here, they are arranged in an interesting way. On the other hand, the french version is cruelly thin. Enter the main menu, because, well, you're not able to do anything else, and you will get very quickly to an english page. As an answer, the Ministry of Education gave us this: the official French-speaking wiki of eRepublik. Good initiative, but still incomplete at the moment.
It is at this moment, the second most lethal one for the new subscribers, that I found my alternative way, the translation of the wiki.

Indeed, from now on I will be part of the eFrance government as a state employee, translator. The job being very comfortable because I am not influenced by the current government, whatever it is. I learn all the important things about the game without having to ask questions, I participate actively in the collapse of one of the walls (trendy subject) and I break away from the daily grind by finding each time an even more interesting subject. Before organizing any eBabyboom campaign , it is necessary that everyone put a lot of work in the erasement of the frustration barriers separating a simple registration from the birth of a true citizen. That's the way to build a strong eFrance, filled with players who, as they are not experienced, will be well informed.
