Empires & Determination : How it effects the Philippines and other small nations

Hello citizens and PTO'ers,

Today I have come to talk to you about the recent implementation of the Empires and Determination update and how this will effect our little nation and others of similar size and occupation.

General Aspects

With the concept of Empires being brought in, more nations are going to be much more aggressive in order to rack up enough points to become an Empire for national pride. This will effect us with large neighboring nations such as Indonesia (again) trying to conquer us and possibly China aswell in order to rack up points to reach 4000.

Foreign Affairs

These updates actually could help in the long term as it opens up opportunities for smaller collectives of nations such as NaN, if it ever gets going again to form proffessional resistance units in order to protect their members. It also has the potential to bring us more help from larger nations when we are attacked, as blocking their enemies from becoming "Empires" will be a high priority.

Determination

This is what is said about determination:
The Determination Bonus is based on the number of days the region is occupied - the longer the region is held under occupation, the higher the Determination. The bonus applies in defensive battles after the region is liberated, but it decreases over time.
This is a great thing for the philippines as the longer our regions are occupied, the easier they are to RW and defend. Effectively drawing all more and more resources from our enemies and potentially making negotiations easier. As you may have noticed we currently have a 5.25x determination factor on Visayas which means 100,000 worth of normal damage done by us will be 525,000 worth of damage with this applied. This gets staggering especially in division 4. I believe this is the best part of the update as it means we may now have a fighting chance at having regions and defending them.
