Election Results

Day 413, 06:30 Published in Australia Australia by TheBlackAdder

Congratulations to Cottus Arci in his re-election (although in some ways his first actual election) as President. He has done a terrific job of running the country so far and I am sure he will continue to.

100 people turned out to vote (making percentages really easy) representing a total of 45% of the eAustralian population. A relativly good amount considering the current activity crisis.

Cottus of the ADSP (also backed by AAA) won the vast majority of votes, with 62 in total. Followed by Calibur of the ANP with 35 votes, setting the ANP up as the major opposition (although they hold the most seats of the three parties in congress). The remaining 3 votes went to BungaBunga of aaaaaaaaaa, who was disqualified anyway.

The results of this election set up an interesting scene for the future of eAustralian politics, while in these elections Cottus won in a landslide, Calibur accrued 35 votes, 4 more than ANP membership, and Cottus 61, 1 less than ADSP membership. Considering Cottus also had the backing of the AAA, with a further 39 members the ANP did secure a very reasonable amount of votes.

The next elections, both Presidential and Congressional, will surely be very interesting and will play a large roll in the future of eAustralia.

So remember, every election, turn up and vote!
We all have to power to help shape eAustralia.
