Election Day Rolls Around

Day 224, 02:06 Published in USA USA by Jordan Miller

As the general elections begin, early results suggest that the current president, Dishmcds of the eRepublikans for Change, will win again, securing a second term in office. He has received praise across party lines, with at least two endorsements from party presidents; Archibald of the Democratic Party, and Roby_Petric of the newer United States Workers Party. Though both of these leaders have endorsed Dishmcd, they still are fully supporting their own candidates for Congressional Seats, of which the USWP will have its first shot at this election. It’s running on a platform targeted at reducing unemployment and focusing on workers rights.

Recent articles, from a certain paper, attacking the Libertarian Party started a fierce argument between senior Libertarians and President Dishmcds. Even during the heated discussion, and amid criticisms of the RfC’s lack of a political platform, praises for Dishmcds’ accomplishments were slipped in.

Congressional elections are another story. It’s hard to predict exactly how they will come out. Early on the USWP took a slight lead, eventually falling to second over the RfC. Gamefaq's and the DP remain on the low end after weak starts. Surprisingly the Libertarian Party, strongest in terms of membership, is still lagging slightly, although there is a lot of voting to be done, and it could change dramatically still. It will be a very interesting election, and we will be monitoring it closely.

The West Coast Tribune is glad to be issuing its first article on such an exciting day, and hopes to follow this up with a prosperous future.

Remember to vote, it’s the only way to truly express your voice in the political process!
