eCanadian Census - Do Your Part
Dade Pendwyn
Josh Taggart, the most vocal and influential post-boomer to be born in eCanada has graced us with yet another contribution – a census. Please fill it out – it takes approximately 30 seconds and will help gauge Canadian activity as well as the overall strength of our active workforce. Simple statistics like these may seem inconsequential, but in reality will help government officials prioritize the needs of our ever changing population. Just fill out it once, and have your profile page ready when you do so.

Please vote this into the top 5 so we can get a strong participation rate and improve the accuracy of the gathered statistics. If you’ve already previously filled out the form, don’t fill it out again.

Thanks Dade. I really appreciate your help. So far we're going strong at about a hundred entries. I'd like to get as many active players as possible to give a representative sample. (voted)
Great idea Josh, and great plug Dade.
Awesome, I'd like to see where the most populated areas are...but of course its Ontario 😛

You can get that info by clicking on the Canadian flag below your picture, then looking around inside there. It's a pain - dozens of clicks - but there's some other good info there for stat-freaks, if you care. Yes, Ontario is most populous, followed by Quebec, BC, then Alberta.
Can anyone here explain how that affects the election process?

Good idea, voted.
Done - nice'n'easy. Thanks
Completed. Good idea. But you could have added some more important questions, like: Are you in the CAF? Male or Female? How much time do you spend on eRepublik daily? Are you registered on the eCanadian Forums? How long have you been a citizen in eRepublik? ...

And to get immigration stats, you could put in a question about Place of eBirth, and if that's not Canada, how long have you lived in eCanada.
that was intrepid132, btw.

(I found the game through google)
Thanks for all the wonderful comments and suggestions. This census was a proof of concept. On issue that I came across while doing statistics is that people generally are more likely to answer less questions. Also, the questions were designed with an eye to providing much needed demographic info to the Government to help with social services.
I believe I will do the next census in a month's time and provide two versions, a short version that everyone who wants to fill out can fill out, and an optional longer component for those that wish to fill it out. I will be releasing my analysis of the data on Tuesday, and you will most likely hear about it through the Bugle.
