eAMPR PP Debate: Post-Show Opinions

Day 1,939, 17:02 Published in USA USA by saraht0ga

What does it take to make a great leader?

I’ve written about that before. In fact, that’s all I’ve written about. It’s easy to have opinions when you haven’t been in the position yourself. From the outside looking in, it’s easy to say what was done wrong, or to give opinions on what you think would have been the better option. That’s not to say that those on the outside or those without experience are always wrong, but talking is easy. It’s action and time that ultimately decide whether a certain person has had a successful leadership role.

That’s why, for this article, I chose to gather opinions on the PP debate we had on eAMPR last Saturday with the help of my media deputy, divineal.

You can listen to the debate yourself here.

Divineal was able to gather three opinions for me. Out of respect for these opinions, and to make sure no one is hassled for sharing their thoughts, I’ll keep these anonymous. If you know that your opinion was used here and wish to be recognized, feel free to comment saying so.

One very concise opinion was given by a newer player who was able to listen to the debate. According to this player, although both candidates seemed competent, s/he felt that DrLuisSentieiro, our incumbent, appeared more capable of leading a big party like the AMP.

A second opinion stated that s/he felt although both players, potato134 and DLS, have plans, it seems as though DLS has more concrete ideas for implementing plans that will better our party.

The third opinion we were able to gather was rather more in-depth.

This player felt that DLS had better skills as a rhetorician: his answers were competent and displayed an obvious expertise in the necessary fields. S/he felt that DLS spoke clearly and with a political shrewdness necessary for the position of PP. This player said that potato’s answers seemed to mirror DLS’s and that they displayed a sort of nervousness. A direct quote from this opinion pointed out, “Hey, we all know that potatoes are not able to speak - it’s impossible.”

To close his/her opinion on potato as a PP candidate, s/he said that, “It’s not potato’s time to be AMP PP; maybe later in a few months.”

As the host of eAMPR, I tried to stay unbiased during the debate. Although I did ask a question of potato that I know came off hostile, it was not my own question and merely one submitted to me by a member of AMP. I want to make sure all voices are heard. For this article, we were obviously only able to gather opinions from those who favor DLS as our PP for next month. If you have differing opinions and listened to the show, feel free to message me or post comments here saying so.
