I have now formed the Vice President's Council on Domestic Affairs.
I have hand-selected participants from as wide a slice of eLife as possible.
I want you to know the names of these volunteers who have agreed to dedicate daily time and energy focusing on key issues we face as an eNation.

I strongly suggest that you refrain from trolling my comments section with your opinions regarding my choices. You will look foolish.
I have intentionally selected as wide a spectrum of people as possible, so I can nearly guarantee that there is someone on this list you don't like and someone on this list you do like. That is the point. One of the few things that all of these people have in common is thick enough skin that they don't really need to be liked by you in order to feel good about their contributions in this game. My council on Domestic Affairs kicks ass.
We have already begun addressing the following four issues:
1: The proliferation of USD and its inflationary effect on the Gold Market,
2: The "civility gap" that exists between the "eUS Military" and the Department of Defense,
3: Military funding policy from an efficiency standpoint,
4: Player Retention.
And there is a vehicle in place for us to be able to look into other issues as well. I am open to your suggestions as I am sure any of these players would also be, so use PM if you have an issue for this council to discuss.
In the (less than) 24 hours since I formally opened the Council, our members have viewed our topics 411 times and generated 86 responses. These are hard-working individuals who are all committed to this task.
I give them my thanks already. I will owe them more thanks in the days to come.
Reminder:
The Vice President's Council on Domestic Affairs will not have any policy-making authority. It is merely being assembled to address some topics in a "think-tank" type environment. We will hash out some proposals and offer them for public (or private if necessary) perusal.

I think that we should try and make sure that this council becomes a thing for future VP's to explore and work with. It gives any Vice President the chance to try and assist the President in tackling the issues of the day.
