Yes, it may actually matter more now than before.

Before, you could tell people to hold their fights until a battle was started, and then start the battle when it is "prime time" for your general population.

Now, it's beneficial to fight right away, so that you can start your timer and get more fights in later in the day. You can't really tell people to wait for a battle without also potentially harming their influence output. If there isn't a "priority" battle underway when someone logs on, then they wouldn't be able to contribute influence to it for at least another 6 hours if they fight then.

It's arguable if it's any different, but it is still obviously better to have a battle during your "prime time", so the start time does still matter.

There should be directives on which time of the day/battle we should provide most of our damage.

I have enough food to cover all fights, but my weapon supply is more limited. I'd like to know which battle to hold for maximum effect and which ones to do food fights for. Not a complaint, but something to consider for V3.
