DoD Update Day 1090

Day 1,090, 08:29 Published in Ireland Ireland by Irish Department of Defence

Soldiers of the IDF,

recently all applications for the Na Fianna have been evaluated and processed. To the ones who made it in, congratulations. You have tough yet glorious times ahead of you. To those who, regrettably, didn’t make it through, best of luck next time. This isn’t the end. Work and train hard and your time will come.

I’m not much for secrecy and I’ll inform all of you, right here at the same time, what my main criteria were in selecting people for the NF.

First of all, your activity. It’s all nice and great to have a high rank and lots of strength, but what’s the use of it for the NF, if you’re never or nearly never online to fight when it’s needed?

My 2nd criteria was your dedication. Have you always been eIrish? Have you left congress when we needed you? Have you taken action that may have undermined the stability of our functioning government? All those things were taken into account as well.

Third and fourth criteria were strength and rank. I had no mandatory minimum strength or rank set, instead I awaited what applications I received and went from there, evaluating and comparing the options I had before me. In essence, it’s you yourselves who set the bar for your fellow companions in battle. I felt this way was the most fair and effective in getting an even – balanced group of experienced soldiers.

After reading this, I guess there are some among you who might think they’ve not been treated fairly. If this is the case, I invite you to send me a message so I can further elaborate. No personal issues, no personal grudges. I’ve tried to keep it as nice and tight as possible.

The men who were selected to be members of the NF have also received a message, asking them if they were willing to employ themselves in Ireland’s state food company. Some have already taken up these jobs and are producing goods at a steady rate. The Irish supplylines have been restored, their broken status is in the past. This company will function with a minimal modus operandi. There will always be a reserve left, adequate enough to protect domestic Irish soil to the full extent of our military force, should they come under attack. If the stocks and the minimal reserve level should become threatened, supply activities will be ceased until our minimal safetynet is stabilised once again.

Tip: it’s not only NF who can work at the State food company. If you feel like it, you as well may volunteer to work there.

**update**

In the previous release, I stated that we’d be using 3 types of threat levels, that would detail the importance of the battles. I am going to go ahead with this system, but I will also be adding something extra to make it’s comprehensibility even higher. Colours. These colours will be clearly visible around the button in the article that will link you to the battle where you are needed.

Threat level C, in short = TL:C will be in a green colour.
Threat level B, in short = TL:B will be in a blue colour.
Threat level A, in short = TL:A will be in a red colour.

Stay tuned for the first DoD orders that will be following soon. We are having some minor communicational difficulties with EDEN high command. I will be updating you on that status soon enough. I expect these kinks in the cable to be sorted out in the course of this very same day.

That’s all for now ladies and gentlemen. Stay tuned.
