DoD Update Day 1088

Day 1,088, 16:18 Published in Ireland Ireland by Irish Department of Defence

Soldiers of the IDF,

we’ve recently managed to get our IDF Food company back into the Department of Defence. This means that we, as a team behind our armed forces, can start looking into a financial plan to support the restructuring. I am also aware that a few of you have already submitted their applications to join the NF. Let me reassure you, I know you haven’t received a reply. This is intentional. I aim to release all evaluations at the same moment in order to be able to treat everyone as fairly as possible.

A small outline of the plans:

- get the food company ready for production
- evaluate applications
- restaff the food company
- appoint 2 quartermasters to help distribution towards NF, eventually NF+ IDF
- Na Fianna on active duty, domestically and abroad
- IDF on active duty, domestically (foreign through MPP’s)

There probably are some more points but I’m not going to detail them all to everyone, especially not towards those who would use any form of information maliciously. You may also notice that, there is one point highlighted. That’s right, our companies don’t magically stock themselves. Trust me, I’ve asked the wee leprechauns, they don’t want to. They left in a small tantrum, mumbling something about Marcus and dark, moist places. I dunno.

The restaffing plan would consist out of me, asking very nicely (with a wink or two..) for our valiant NF recruits to chip in and take up a spot in the company. *thumbleweed*

I know, we’ve tried this already. I know this is a cause for concern for some among you, so I’ve managed to strike a deal with our financial department. The NF recruits (.. volunteers.. cough cough), will be given a wage high enough for them to sustain their health at maximum when working and training regularly. This is a double edged blade, as the company receives extra benefit from having high health workers, while the workers themselves remain in good shape. Of course, if we were to have exceptionally valourous NF, IDF or citizens who wish to employ themselves for minimum wage than I will have no objections. I might even throw in an autograph to give to the kids, yeah, I’m just that awesome. What? Stop looking at me like that..

Once we have a steady stream of foodsupply we can again disperse them among our men in active duty and start becoming an international player. So as you can see, some dedication towards Ireland’s defence is required. We can’t just sit here. I know we can talk the talk, but let’s demonstrate that we walk the walk too.

..onward..

Distribution in relation to the threat level. In my previous update I mentioned that only the NF would receive supplies due to our limited funds available. The red line behind this theory hasn’t changed, however there are a few details extra now, worth mentioning. We at the DoD will be employing a set of 3 possible threat levels. Each level having it’s own characteristics with options available for either NF, IDF or both. An example:

Threat Level C: view as training conflict = NF receive limited supplies, IDF provide themselves to an extent of their own choosing, be that either non – existant, minimal or full frontal nu.. cash blowing. Low priority.

Threat Level B: view as allied conflict = NF receive supplies, IDF provide themselves to a considerable extent (favourable!). Medium priority with option to High priority.

Threat Level A: view as domestic conflict = NF receive supplies, IDF receive supplies. Always a High priority.

As you can see, the IDF has regained an option where they can still receive supplies from the state. This is an overhaul if we compare it to the original schematics of our distribution plan. I believe this is a step forward and expands our options. The new DoD orders will always contain one of the above levels, so treat your orders accordingly. Threat level significations may be altered towards a coloured image code to further enhance comprehensibility.

On top of that, I’m not a sucker for handing out supplies willy – nilly. I don’t care that you are NF. You may wear a different badge and you may be more proficient, but down on earth, the same Irish blood stains the fields, be you NF or be you IDF. Because of that, the NF will not be able to think of their supplies as a ‘for granted’ option. I’m going to keep the selection of the NF tight and compact. Members of the NF will be required to sign in on our IRC and join the IDFSupply – channel we have on irc.rizon.net. Whenever we find ourselves in some form of conflict, the first amount of NF members (exact amount still to be determined), will be eligible for supplies. Those who sign in too late, or don’t sign in at all, will be forfeiting their right to supplies for that current event.

Does this sound unfair to you? To me, it doesn’t. You want to be treated, viewed and respected as the best? Live up to the standard, live up to the expectations, live up to Ireland and reap the rewards.

You want an example? I’ve used this logo before, when I ran the NF in the old days and it was welcomed pretty hard. So I thought, why not reinstate it? Members of the Na Fianna will be the only ones allowed to wear the following badge on their avatars….

Not only that, but there will be an updated list out once in a while, informing the people of Ireland who is actually serving where and which actions were performed by said indivdual(s). I hope this is already some sort of incentive for people to start working towards this achievement.

I think that’s all for now, I’ll keep you guys updated as we go along. Like before.

P.S. I bet you're all happy now that you have a MoD who doesn't talk to himself or anything like that hu..What?
