Tim Holtz of the ACP lead the PTO and admits to doing it. You may not consider it relevant but since he is going to be on your ticket you need to accept responsibility for his actions.

I sympathise with the APP situation, but I feel that there was more you should have been doing to prevent this happening. There has been a lack of direction in the APP since PG left, and the party has been sliding unfortunately and has not been organised. A minimal amount of communication and organisation likely would have prevented that PTO from occurring. This is not the members of the parties fault, only the PP.

This does not make the PTO right, it only demonstrates that you need to be in an organised party who communicate and plan not only react to what is happening when it is too late.

When you ask why Ronny, Tim, et al who participated in this the question of motive is important.

If there was a desire to work hard to improve eAus founded on some principled policies, I would support the takeover 100%.

It's clear from what the perpetrators have said this wasn't the intent. The intent was for a few players to have fun by screwing over other players. It hasn't and won't make eAus better, and has wasted time on matters that don't improve the situation of this country.

Individuals can play this game for their own personal enjoyment at the expense of others. Or they can play this game for their own personal enjoyment and the improvement of the eAus for everyone. The first makes eAus a continued backwater and 2-bit player on the world stage. It's what the current situation of the APP supports. By all means if you believe in that, vote APP.

@Louise I was there as an inaugural member when scottty founded the KHMC. Ask Sir C, Callum, or really anyone because it's fact. The 'party' that was there was an inactive party to any acceptable definition of the word. I don't even remember what it was. I could be wrong but I think it was the old something Australis party?

Now cross over to this. Sure the APP was still functioning but Mickskitz landed it perfectly. When I was leading the APP in the Senate everyone knew we were hanging on for dear life on electoral numbers. It was on a downhill slide for 6 or so months and the Congress election returns backed that. The APP still held reasonable numbers for an eAus party but the popular returns were soft as butter in the sun. Who was going to take the crown was anyone's guess. All anyone knew for sure was the APP wasn't going to be the flavour for much longer.

But that's the nature of politics that some seem to forget. Let's pretend for a moment that game mechanics are merely a side issue (although they're really everything). Parties rise and parties fall. One month a party is at an all time high, the next they're battling to get one Congress member elected. Times change, people change - it's the nature of evolution.

The only standards that can be doubled here are when someone tries to set one on faux impressions. Myself personally I'm impressed that parties are showing signs of life. May not be grand or even admirable to some, but it's been a long hard drought and voters are buying it up while they can. The numbers speak all.

@ Mick, what you said is well & good. What left the bad impression was the person who supposedly led the run for the APP turns out to be a multi, then when he was banned RJJ jumps in & grabs the PP.
The set up stinks.
