Do Lower Taxes Win Wars?

Day 614, 21:56 Published in USA USA by NoneSuch

- I was semi-involved on a very thought-provoking IRC conversation tonight. It had to do with why Hungary is such a superpower and why Hungary could possibly take the eUS single-handedly. It has to do with a quickly dying American and eAmerican institution, capitalism.

- Stronger Citizens - My main point!

- As far as I can tell, the stronger your citizen is, the more of an effect you have in a battle, correct? And where do the more experienced, thus stronger, citizens prefer to be in eRep? I think it's safe to assume that the eUS isn't one of the more popular locations. With 30% taxes, increasing VATs, and horrible leadership, is it any wonder all of our experienced players are leaving the country? NO!

- My point? Lower Taxes = Stronger, wealthier, more influential citizens! This is my the focus of my article!!! Lower these taxes and get our elites back! They fight for the fun of the game, not because it's their job. They do awesome damage regardless of gov't funding!!!

- These same people are actually attacking the eUS as I write this!

- Weapon Distribution -

- So what's better... tanks or mobs? Conceptualizing isn't going to fool anyone here, so I'm going to do some math!

- I'm using the cheapest weapon prices on the eUS market and using the 50USD=1Gold conversion rate.

- Let's assume Publius(The #3 eUS citizen) is our tank. He's has 15.748 strength and is a field marshall. If he is at 100 wellness using a Q1 weapon, he will do 171 damage. Let's then say he uses 40 wellness packs, fights 40 times, and uses 40 Q1 weapons. That's 6840 total damage. In Gold, 40 Q1 weapons and 40 wellness packs costs us 85.88 Gold. That's 79.6 Dmg/Gold. Using 40 Q2's it would be 93.44 Gold and cause 8000 damage. So Q1=79.6 Dmg/Gold. Q2=85.6 Dmg/Gold. Q3=89.2 Dmg/Gold. Q4=92.1 Dmg/gold Q5=80 Dmg/Gold

- Now let's assume a noob, with 3 strength, no rank, uses those same Q1 weapons for 5 fights, with wellness deteriorating each fight starting from 100 wellness. That's 67 damage total. It only costs him 0.735 Gold. That's 91.2 Dmg/Gold.

- So what can we derive from those numbers? That a person with 3 strength can be just as effective as the eUS's strongest tank. I'm not saying that we rely on noobs, I'm saying that we stop "tanking", reduce the VAT on weapons, lower income taxes, and let the eUS populous do their thing. And keep in mind that the 3 strength thing was just illustrating the lowest strength needed to make tanking obsolete. If you have above 3 strength, you're more cost efficient than the eUS's strongest tank and en masse can do more damage!

- If half the average eUS population fought ONCE at 50 wellness with a q1 weapon, that's 128k damage!!! If they were all at 100 wellness, which they should be because we have 3 Q5 hospitals, after a SINGLE FIGHT they would have do a total of 179.5k damage!!!

- Freedom and the GDP -

- With lower taxes you can raise your wellness faster, start up your company faster, and buy more of everything! With people starting up more companies and buying more things at the same time, prices really won't fluctuate that much, but the GDP drastically improves. More product is made, more product is bought, the GDP goes up.

- Just An Opinion -

- Please keep in mind that this is just opinion. I'm sure that there are many flaws in this article, but whatever. Comment, flame, vote, hate, do what you want.
