Alliance

An alliance is a group of countries who have formed a military alliance with each other to offer each other protection. They usually have unique trade agreements and foreign policies to go alongside their military agreements, but this is not always the case. An alliance has to have at least 3 members, otherwise it is just a simple MPP. There are currently four major Alliances in the New Worl😛 PEACE Global Community, EDEN, AHA and Fortis.


Disfunct Alliances:

ATLANTIS

ATLANTIS was founded by former Northern Alliance (NA) members and included all former NA members except Ireland, two new members from the Pan American Alliance (PANAM) and two from the Mediterranean Alliance (MA). Only days old, the fresh alliance was thrust into a war due to the Romanian declaration of war on Hungary. This war was the biggest conflict in eRepublik history as the world's main alliances, ATLANTIS and PEACE GC, confronted each other on the battlefield.


FIST

The idea of an alliance of Asian nations began in January of 2008, first brought into discussion by Wej, the President of Japan to unite against Pakistan. In April, President Izirbat of Iran reopened discussion of an Asian alliance, and sent letters to the presidents of Turkey, Pakistan, Indonesia, and later Japan. The Treaty was signed on May 29th, 2008.


MA

The Mediterranean Alliance (MA) was an alliance that mainly consisted of countries that border the Mediterranean Sea, later other countries from all over the world was allowed to enter. MA was founded by Spain as a response to the other alliances around the world. In July, the MA was put on a "break". The charter is no longer in effect.


NA

The NA was a European Alliance comprised of six countries. Sweden, Norway, UK, Ireland, Romania and USA.
The treaty of the Northern Alliance was dissolved by its member nations due to the formation of the ATLANTIS alliance.


PANAM

The Pan American Alliance (PANAM) was an original idea of the back then President of Mexico, Dhoo. With the support of the citizens of Mexico, Dhoo summon all the Presidents of the American Continent with the idea of create a unique and united block of American countries. This American block will gonna integrate the Economic, Defense and Diplomatic relationship between its members. Dishmcds, the back them President of USA and creator of the first ONU in the New World, it was the biggest supporter of the Mexico's idea of a Continental Alliance. After long negotiations, Canada get out of alliance, because they got into the North Alliance and they say that they will never gonna trust in USA again. This resolution come from the recent USA-Canada War. When Dhoo, left the Presidency of Mexico the Pan American Alliance start to wobble and when Dishmcds finish his second term as President of USA the alliance finally collapse. From the ashes of the Pan American Alliance (PANAM), and copy from this a lot of organization and structure, the ATLANTIS alliance born.


Byzantine Empire

The Byzantine Empire is a nod to the historical empire of the same name which exerted influence over much of Europe in its time. The Byzantine Empire is ruled by the Imperial Council, a congress of all member nations' heads of state and two lifelong Councilors that makes decisions for the Empire based on democratic vote.
