Discussion about MoD

MoD - Training

New Era Policy

There needs to be a neutral government run training MU to help citizens to train up. It would have orders and supply set to help get Medals, not direct the highest damage possible. These could be new players in D1 or weak old players in D4.

To make this run the best, we always need a UK War where we take territory so that these citizens can work on Patriot and Resistance War medals.

Agreed, neutral government run training MU, I'd bet for a strong Legion. But used more intelligently towards medals. Not damage. I think Carlini has made an excellent work of organization and supplies , but the core is missing: fight in a sensible manner.

And for many reasons we need a war , but we don't need to LOSE a war. So I'd start a war BUT PLANNING IT CAREFULLY ( I know planning and erepublik in the same sentence sounds weird.

TUP Policy

This radical policy was proposed and passed six months ago in the form of the NHS. The NHS ceased providing weapons when it became obvious that higher supplies of food would be a better function, and ceased performing as a MU under demand from congressmen.

NHS has been the best idea of the year. Now we have 4 or 5 MU struggling for attractign new players... It's a nightmare of organization.

However TUP would be happy to restart an NHS MU if there was popular demand.

Due to the importance and quality of the comment, I'll include it and
give my opinion, Carlini's in bold, mine is underline😛

Could someone please explain the obsession for TP medals? I am just going to run some numbers to show what I mean (Going to use Leigon averages as they are the only numbers readily available).
I meant by "fighting sensible" that we fight in a war with
some kind of coordination, Goku (and Don) are more "medal-driven",
I'm more "stratego-driven". Anyway I (and many) appreciate YOUR contribution

Now, I assume this is mainly aimed for Div 1 members. New members. They need to deal 3 million TP damage to gain themselves 5 medals, 25 gold. While in this training MU I am going to assume their only chance for a paid job is at the market wage due to the fact there is no way the Gov can afford comms

I am going to say an active new member can easily get to the Legion second highest tier. They only need to gain 143 exp per day. Which given early companies and then fighting, as long as they log in a few times a day for a few mins, is easily attainable. Obviously the highest tier is possible too, I am just going to assume the second tier to make the findings a little more clear.

Using the top 5 performers of The Legion from Div 1 over the past week I find a good new player will average 410k damage a week. Pour that all in to the TP medal (Which even with New Eras method isn't going to be likely due to battle overlap etc) would mean it takes 7.3 weeks to gain 5 TP medals. Now, the Legion second tier job currently pays £185 more than the top market jobs out there. That is £1295 a week. Timesed by 7.3 that comes to £9453.5.

Over the same period of time, that is 24.2 gold. Now, I hear you cry, that is 1 gold less than the method we are proposing!

Indeed it is, those new players would miss out on 1 gold! However that is because I gave the fighting for TP battles the benefit of the doubt (I pooled the top 5 Legion members for the damage, not all of them, I assumed all damage would go in to TP medals - In reality, it won't and I presumed they hadn't already got the TP medals)

The main kicker is: The 24 gold they would earn in The Legion is gone and unaccessable if they are in the other MU. However, fighting for The Legion, they will at some point get that 25 gold for TP medals. Infact, over the past 7.3 weeks we have faught for the eUK quite a lot. So I would predict they would have gained the first 3 TP medals anyway, such is the nature of the medal.

Then you have to take in to account things like the community inside the MU. The NHS MU is effectively what is proposed, just fighting for the eUK. Well two of our top eUKers currently, B&E and BA couldn't manage to get a real community going on in their because of the revolving door membership, who can actually manage it?

I don't feel the gains of this proposal (1 gold over 7 weeks while taking away a possible 24, a lack of community and probably a lower learning chance) would be worth the constant RWs which would effect the whole country and the effort needed to put together the MU.

That is just my thoughts, you have called this a discussion so I hope this is the sort of analysis you were looking for. Just is just my view, not the Govs.

P.S It is early and I have just gone from the late shift to the early shift so these are just tired ramblings. appreciated. thanks
