Fellow ANP Patriots.

As i write this article, the ANP is facing a grave threat at the upcoming Party President elections.

We have two PTOers running (Aaron Manggraviti and Will O'grady) to try take our much loved party away from us! We can't allow this to happen. WE NEED TO ACT.

It is unfortunate that Infin is stepping aside this month after 4 terms as PP, but he obviously needs a rest. He has done a great job in the position, and i thank him for that.

Now, let me get down to business. The only real other candidate to the position is Dante. I don't have a problem with him, but it's not a good thing for the people to just have One real candidate for the job. So i am running as the alternative, this also forms my campaign slogan.

Discrate1 for ANP Party President: An alternative.

If i am elected as party president, the main objective i would have is to better organize the structure of the party. One way in which i would do that is to give each active member of the party a specific job/roll in the party for that person to focus and work on. What i have been noticing lately is that much of the work has been carried out by the party president and the deputy, while other active members just give input. I would like to change this, so i employ an ANP cabinet that i would put in place if i were to become ANP party president.

I want to base the ANP on real political parties, and in real political parties the party president mainly focuses on making sure the party is running fine, whilst all the parliament business and policy making is looked after by the party parliament leader, so i will style my cabinet on this.

Also something else i want to put in place if i become party president is well organized country president campaigns. Before any CP election i want it so the whole party comes together and discusses, in a thread on the forum and in the irc, a candidate for the CP. After a CP candidate has been selected, we would all discuss how we want to go about contesting the election and how we should attack.

In the first post of the thread we have made, we will have like a full manifesto of what our plans are (like planned advertising campaigns, how much it will cost, a slogan for the campaign (real political parties have a slogan for each campaign)

As the ANP Party President, i would fully implement this plan.

I also had an idea of starting a new tradition where the Party President produces a weekly ANP newsletter like some of the other parties do. This will keep people informed of the latest ANP news and upcoming events. It will keep ANP members (who are not as active as some of us are) engaged with the party, seeing as at the moment we are having real trouble with voter turn out in elections.

So if i do become ANP party president, i will fully implement this idea.
