Disaster and Consequence

Day 1,699, 20:08 Published in Canada Canada by Vrykolaus Drauvik
When men are young and driven, they can do many great things. Ambitious, vibrant and eager to learn there is no end to what they can accomplish.

After a while, things start to become easy. Men who worked till their fingers bled, after a long life tend to slow down. They become unproductive, desolate and above all, the feeling of entitlement, all the work they have done in the past should be enough reason on it's own to allow them to deteriorate into a sloth and still receive everything they had prior.

I left the EPIC Party for this reason, among others. With the party near collapse, a chance to seize the Party Presidency back into the hands it was before, was all a spiritual pipe dream. Unable to co-ordinate a simple solution ; Have the party support one candidate and one candidate only to face Rolo Tahmasee. Very easy to accomplish, with strong leadership and pride pushed aside. But with weak leadership and ego maniac's at the helm, a recipe for disaster will come to an inevitable conclusion.

I am a strong believer of private conversations to stay private. So with saying this, I will tell you my take on the EPIC situation as I was once a member up until this morning.

Nicholas Boyce should of been the nominee, and the lead candidate running for the Party Presidency. He is young, a fresh voice which I felt with a little grooming from veteran party members could fashion himself into a formidable opponent. The other two candidates I can sum up for you quickly. One of the candidates hadn't written an article in six months. The other candidate only started writing articles as the voting day approached. Even if Nicholas was someone that the party felt wasn't worthy of being a long term investment in the party, why wouldn't you throw the dog a bone? Let him stay active, do the leg work, get the party back in order then simply let it be known his service was no longer needed? I believe even if it was known to Nicholas that this was the plan in question, he would of done it for the good of his party.

This whole fiasco was the result of one member complaining about Democracy. It wasn't 'Democratic' to force EPIC members to vote for one man. I don't know about you, but if I am being beaten in a corner within an inch of my life I will remove the head clean from your shoulders. All is fair in a street fight. EPIC viewed this election as a fair duel. Very bad judgement.

Enthralled to I and left for damnation. What hurts most is what's done to self. Quote by Vrykolaus Drauvik

Have you ever placed a liver in a freezer before?

Place a liver in a freezer. Once it's frozen entirely, remove it. Make sure to remove it completely, so the organ has a chance to hit room temperature. Very quickly, place it back and close the lid. Now look at your fingers. Every time, no matter how quickly you repeat this process you will notice one thing. There will always be blood on your hands.

It's time for me to clean myself from this pointless endeavor, and move on.
