Dioism in America
Nitrous Oxide
Dioism is not a religion like we know in the real world. In fact, none of the real world religions apply to our virtual selves. To quote the God-Emperor himself:
Dioism is the state religion in the Holy Empire of Pakistan. It is the belief that the God Emperor of Pakistan, Dio Brando, created the world and all the laws behind it.
Pakistan was built upon the beliefs of Dio, written in sand by me and my fellow countrymen. I believe that what we did, more than two years ago, is something big enough to inspire all of you reading this, whatever nationality or ideology. We, the Dioists, refused to be confined by imaginary borders, ignored the metadigital limits of this universe, and instead chose something different. We chose Pakistan.
We made this choice, not to offend, neither to insult, any previously existing belief. We made it to escape the boundaries of the "real world". To show you all that this world can be perfect, as it was intended to be. This world was not created by any god other than Dio. It was create by no man, other than Dio. The eRepublik team did not create what we are now eLiving in. They only gave us the wireframe. We, the people, were supposed to fill it with all the good, all the drama, all the emotions that we currently have.
We are Dio. You are Dio. I am Dio.
A lot of Americans disregard what Dio says because they are born as swine, and they view his followers as fanatic lunatics. Most of them don't realize who Dio Brando was.
Protip: Dio Brando was an actual eRepublik player.
Hold on, what are all your silly eReligions based on? Nothing. Don't even try to bring real life religion into this virtual world.
Did god create this virtual landscape? No. Did Allah create these metaphysical personas? No. Did any ancient Buddha, any old world prophet, any old deity, create what we call The New World?
The answer, my friends, my brothers, my sisters, to these questions, is "No".
But then why is Dio so important if he was just a player? The answer is simple. He was no ordinary player. Under him, The New World thrived, and what he brought to the game is the sole reason why you are playing it today.
Do you understand? Without Dio Brando, eRepublik would have never caught on. The success he brought to the glorious nation of Pakistan fueled this game. Players from their real life countries started to show interest and recruit others, up to the point we have reached today.
Imagine if Pakistan never conquered all of China and India. Imagine if the war module was never developed because there was no interest in the game. Imagine the New World without Dio.
Accurate depiction of the New World without Dio.
So tell me America, how can you hate Dio when you play the very same game that he breathed life into? We are not here to force you to praise Dio and spam his name at every given moment. However, we are here to demand that he is respected for his accomplishments.
A more important question would be: "Should we fight each other over these questions?"
"Should we force our beliefs upon others? Should we judge other, not by their actions, but by their beliefs?"
All these questions have the same answer. And I regret the fact that a lot of people would give me the wrong answer.
This is a call of arms. A call of arms for peace, to love and live together. A call of arms to flood the streets with love or light or heat, whatever. This is an ever-resonating message, which every guru, every prophet and every god has echoed throughout the ages, but most have failed to hear.
This is the message of Peace. Peace through harmony, Peace through love. Always.
These are words to live by, and I urge all Americans - Dioists or not - to live in peace. No more outlawing Dio, and no more trolling people if they do not praise Dio. Respect is a two-way street. Do not let yourselves be overcome by your inner-pig.
May the love of Dio be with you, forever.

I love Dio Brando with my whole being, and I urge you to, as well
> So tell me America, how can you hate Dio when you play the very same game that he breathed life into?
Perhaps because Dioism is synonym to 4chan and trolling? Cool overstatements too, bro.
They hate Dio for the same reasons that they hate themselves
America clearly does not hate Dioism, as it is the official religion of this great nation.
Glorious article otherwise.
Choc, until everyone in America doesn't have a problem with Dio, then America hates Dio. Of course, not all Americans hate Dio.
Regardless, we must make an effort to make Dio look good in the eyes of the unbelievers instead of making Dioism look like a closed group of elitists.
I've seen too much hate of Dioism to consider ourselves doing a good job spreading the word.
>Perhaps because Dioism is synonym to 4chan and trolling?
I never visit 4chan, and I rarely troll anyone. Yet I'm a Dioist. Please, stop stereotyping.

I love Dio and so should you.
DIO is love
There are hoof prints on this article. Luckily our love of Dio will prevail.
"No more outlawing Dio, and no more trolling people if they do not praise Dio."
"we must make an effort to make Dio look good in the eyes of the unbelievers instead of making Dioism look like a closed group of elitists."
With these two statements, Nitrous, you've earned my respect. Even if the Dioist crowd doesn't, as a whole, accept what you're saying, you're a good example of what Dioism should be. Good luck.
As long as I'm not forced to believe in a particular religion I will respect that religion. It's only in the insistence that we believe a certain way that a religion loses itself. And no, I'm not a Dioist.
Although I am not happy to be called a pig either. If a religion starts to diminish others to build itself it is insecure, or at lease the believers are. If DIO is love then it cannot insult others, even if is being insulted.
I smell the sent of bacon coming from some foreign pigs up thur. Swine Capitalists.
Decent article; hoof tracks in comment section.
@Walter Stua: as long as you respect Dio, no one is allowed to call you a pig. If someone calls you a pig and you haven't expressly stated you hate Dio or something along those lines, then they aren't being good Dioists.
Thank you for the insight. I think I'm beginning to understand your meaning.
If I did insult a person's belief's, I would consider myself a pig. Thank you.
Me>😉io
Uhm, I doubt more than 1.5% of this game knew what dio was before this also dio trolling makes people quit in annoyance, thanks for the lie dude.
Give me a break, dio sucks because she comes from Crap-a-stan man. What is wrong with you!!! I lived in Karachi fro three years, you don't want anything to do with Crap-a-stan, so leave this IdioT stuff alone. 😁^
America is DIOIST!
>Uhm, I doubt more than 1.5% of this game knew what dio was before this
I lol'd sooooooooooooo hard.
>Crap-a-stan
You mean the same country that held the biggest empire in eRepublik history?
"Should we force our beliefs upon others?"
There is something Dio said that you need to listen to if you don't want people to hate Dioism.
Im an eAtheist but I still respect Dio.
If you want people to believe simply offer to help them understand then if they say no leave them alone with it for good. The eUS is choice not peer pressure. 😛
DIO DIO DIO
I've got no problem with people wanting to celebrate what Dio did. Hell, from what I know (which is understandably incomplete) this was impressive.
The problem that I do have is the trolling, spamming, and intolerance that has come with it. If a Dioist wants to explain why they believe what they believe then it is good. If instead they want to spam a three letter word, troll non-Diost related articles, and insult those who do not want to partake in any eReligion then there is a problem.
I respect the effort to reduce the biggest complainst. If more followed this advice then the world would be a better place.
DIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dio = Awesome
