Desu Manifesto and More~

Day 863, 20:14 Published in Japan Japan by Amamiya Haruhi

PARTY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

As of today, the DWP has finally reached the long-dreamed goal of the Top 5. This allows us to finally run our own Congress candidates, and support them from our own party. I'd like to take this chance to thank the SOS Brigade for it's neverending support, and it's willingness to help us with Congress up until now. We shall turn to you still if we ever require it. I'd also like to congratulate my members on their vigorous recruiting efforts over time, which have finally payed off. Through everyone's hard work, we now stand where we always envisioned ourselves.

Secondly, the Revolutionary Tribunal has been formed. The Tribunal acts as a sub-leadership group below the Party President and is composed of 6 individuals: Cayen, Sigrun_Makinen, Yagami M, Arynar Ventys, ACSephiroth, Konno Miyuki. All of these individuals have proven themselves to be the most reliable and loyal of the DWP members, always steadfast in duty and the most outspoken of our party.

Here's hoping to our continued achievement, and ongoing desu revolution~

...and now, for our party manifesto!

MANIFESTO OF THE DESU WORKERS' PARTY

Purpose:

The purpose of the Desu Workers' Party is to provide a fun and active party for eJapanese from all walks of life and situations. It is also our mission to seek the betterment of Japan in all aspects and to support candidates whom are capable of achieving this, and being the voice of the people.

Military/War:

It is the official stance of the DWP that Japan should remain primarily neutral and stay out of superalliance politics. We, however, support the idea of individual alliances and furthered relations with countries across the globe, primarily those at home (Asia). While the army is efficient, the budget should always be at a moderately high level. The military itself should be used to encourage activity besides just functioning as our military arm, and recruitment focuses should be held for it. It is our stance that war is only acceptable should our closest allies require it, or it is neccessary to protect our interests (Anti-PTO, Viability as a Nation, Retaining Regional Control)

Government:

A government should be small and only have the neccessary sections, as to not suffer the errors of a huge, complicated, and slow bureaucracy. The government should listen to the Congress as the 'voice of the people', but should not be forced to do so. Congress should also consist of half discussion and half voting on all issues, rather than pure voting. PTO's are also a threat to the nation, and as such, should be dealt with through all available means. Also, we support meritocracy in government (positions gained through merit/ability) rather than through corruption and nepotism (favoritism.)

Foreign Affairs:

As mentioned previously under military/war, our focus should primarily be to stay out of superalliance politics and remain mostly neutral. Our main concerns for foreign affairs should be our neighbors and brethren within Asia and Oceania. Alliances with individual nations whom we hold strong ties to are encouraged. Improving relations with countries across the globe is also a must.

Economics:

Government regulation is business is something that is required to an extent. For example, price floors should be existant to an extent, minimum wages kept low. However, business should be left alone for the most part, and no government-organized bailouts should occur. Foundation of companies/moving of workers should be actively supported to help areas of the economy that are not thriving/suffering from dead companies/lack manpower.

Social Programs:

It is the primary stance of our party that communication is essential. As such we actively promote the use of the eJapanese forums, IRC, and messenging clients so members of the party can actively keep in touch with one another and their party leadership. We also support activities and events in order to energize members of the party, and keep activity high and boredom low. Our organization, the Revolutionary Desu Syndicate, functions as a way to welcome new party members (and new players who join) to the party, provide them with advice, and explain game mechanics. Our party companies running under this organization exist to bring fair wages to eJapanese citizens and DWP members. Along with the wages, DWP members benefit from working for party companies as the items made from our companies are given to party members who require them, depending on the industry. (For example, guns and tickets can be handed out)

Revolutionary Desu Guar😛

The RDG is a militia unit composed of party members who volunteer for it. Being a militia, it is subjugate to the IJF, although not under it's formal control. The main purpose of the Guard is to thwart inner-party PTO attempts, nationwide PTO attempts, and if required, defend eJapanese territory against foreign aggression.

Symbolism:

The DWP is symbolized by it's iconic doll mascot from Rozen Maiden, Suiseiseki. She is a polite individual with a vivid imagination, and an excess of energy. Her energy and imagination symbolize the attitude of our party, and our goal of 'thinking big' and being resilient. Our other symbol is the Japanese copula 'desu', which serves as a moniker for the party.
