Department of Regional Development
Jefferson Steelflex
After the General Election on Oct. 1st, I was appointed by President Roby Petric to head up the new Department of Regional Development, a cabinet level position.
The Mission of the DoRD is to foster the growth of Local government programs through federal assistance and organization so that, come V1's elimination of the mayor system, our regions can still function as semi-autonomous bodies.
We will do this through several initiatives designed to help promote local organizations set up by the mayors of the regions. These include, but are not limited to-
State Lotteries
State Health Services
City Public Works SOs
State Military Groups
State Funded Banks
State Funded Companies
State Immigration Departments
State Finance Departments
Mayors Office SOs
We will help these organizations with promoting them and helping the grow and let their citizens know that they are up and running for business.
As Mayor of eUSA's largest city, I have set up a number of groups through both SO accounts and non-SO means. A few of these programs have become very successful (The California State Lottery, The California Health Service SO). Others are having some problems making awareness of their goals due to lack of information from local citizens and limited funding. (California National Guard) Others still are yet to have been officially set up but are working on a part time basis (Immigration and Finance) In the DoRD we will pinpoint those organizations that are struggling to get their message out there and find new ways to help promote them and grow them through fundraising, media campaigns, etc.
As Director of Regional Development I will set up a few positions below myself.
So far they are-
Assistant Director of Regional Development - chimichonga barbosa
(Assists me in running the day-to-day operations of the department and any other tasks that need to be done. Meets with all members and gathers information on the state of local government as a whole)
Director of Gambling and Recreation - Joshua Steel
(Responsible for taking care of and developing local lottery and other recreational gaming organizations)
Director of Health Services - OPEN
(Responsible for Local Health Services and helping local health services SOs meet their goals and needs)
Director of Supplemental Military Pay Services - OPEN
(Finds states that wish to implement supplemental military pay systems and advises them on how to develop these)
Director of Business Affairs - OPEN
(Meets with businesses in local regions and partners with them to find jobs for local citizens in need of high paying jobs)
Director of Financial Affairs - OPEN
(Raises funds for all local organizations as a whole through donations and possible federal funding if the President permits. Disburses those to local organizations upon request.)
I have had some requests to fill these positions and I will be contacting you with a proposal on what I'd like you to do.
If you see a particular position you are interested in, feel free to PM me. I will be filling all positions as needed.
Comments
Well each city have it\'s own director?
Ihave not decided that quite yet.
I\'m getting information on all mayors from Chimichonga and we will work with all current mayors until V1 comes and we will decide what to do from there.
Congressmen should have a substantial say in their regional councils. V1 is converting countries into unitary states, and we need to develop a policy that\'s consistent with the game\'s structure.
Of course.
But the reason behind this department is to preserve some semblance of a federal system for the eUSA. It only makes sense that our focus is to retain the regional departments that have served us so well and help them to grow.
might i suggest you divide the cities into groups
SE: Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and South Carolina
Central East: North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Ilinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia
North East: Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York
New Englan😛 Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine
North: Michigan (I believe that\'s under Canadian control), Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska
South West: Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas
West: Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah
Pacific Coast: California, Oregon, Washington
This is a suggestion for the organization of the RoRD or you could hire a director for each city
I like Mr. Bright Sides Idea
cause other wise there will about 60 Directors and that could get confusing
I actually was going to do that. I was going to announce it today.
I have some slightly diffrent sub regional divisions than proposed. (A lot of large regions will be one or two state groupings.)
