NOTE: I will compile any data necessary to support the hypothesis proposed by this article at a later date. (Subsequent to when I get a campaign hero medal, which I hope to acquire/achieve in approximately one month.)
I recently obtained my first Battle Hero medal. I was very excited to do this for two reasons.
1. I maintained discipline.
.......For nearly 30 days, I satisfied my daily orders in order to get all parts needed for a full bazooka. Not once during that time did I intentionally use one of my bazookas.
2. It was on my 79th day of eRep life.
.......I'm sure others have done this in fewer days, but considering I wasn't filling out the supplies request for the majority of that time (my dumb mistake), I've been able to do this with almost no help at all.
What I Have Learned
Since achieving the BH, I've not built a single bazooka. I have noticed that I am getting more scopes and rockets, the least "found" items comprising the bazooka, with greater frequency than when I was building the bazookas daily. As noted at the start of this article, I may be mistaken, so I will eventually execute a more empirical analysis; nevertheless, my proposition is still a good idea.
If you delay building your bazookas until you mean to use them, you
MAY:
> Acquire more crucial bazooka parts.
WILL:
> Not accidentally use a bazooka on an unnecessary target.

I always wondered about this too.
Pretty sure what you are saying about getting more of the rare parts isn't actually a thing. Here is my bazooka storage as it appears from left to right on the page, I stopped making bazookas after my max hit went above 10,000.

So you can see scopes and rockets are still much less common.
But yes it is definitely better to keep them in storage rather than assembled. I just wish I could still assemble them one at a time, it's nice to have a few around if I need to finish off 1 kill and only have 10hp left.

Your data seems to support the contradiction to my article. Also, I have recently been fighting a bit more per day than previously so that might be skewing my perception a bit.

Ive only ever gotten 1 rocket, and i have 36 barrels, seems a bit odd to me
Khornz, it actually isn't that strange since they since Bazooka parts. Another way for them to generate capital.

Nice article btw... I use my bazookas for Merc medals, other than that I never really thought about how much you get if you wait to assemble...
