Dear Friends

Hi kids,

Been awhile, thought I should write something. Things are so so, most of my time is spent trying not to think about aches and pains. If anyone is yet unaware I'm laid up in a nursing facility. Recently I had my right foot amputated below the knee. They are treating an infection of the wound with a strong antibiotic. The pill causes side affects which are unpleasant. Usually it's hard to concentrate. I don't often reply but do try to read articles and follow Congress.

I do hope everyone is ok. Summer is in play. Get out and enjoy life. 😄

Therapy has fell through the cracks. For 3 weeks I received the best of care. Evidently the insurance is like showing a starving dog beef steak and yanking it away when he gets to.take a bite. No hobble, it's more like lay in bed and ask people to clean you after you crap. Nursing home slang, "I'll be right back" is code for "My shift is about over, good luck".
