Bezetting Van eNederland
Er wordt ook naar het huidige regering gekeken voor antwoorden. De regering wordt momenteel geleid door het Geuzen Partij Nederland, die volgens velen hun best doen om eNederland turug op haar voeten te krijgen, maar er zijn ook spelers die denken dat het anders beter kan. Een speler had deze mening;

Occupation Of The eNetherlands
A few months ago ePoland attacked the eNetherlands. Within a few months, ePolen invaded and occupied four other countries, the eNetherlands not counted. Almost everyone thinks this is a disgrace to the eNetherlands, but also outrageous for ePoland because of the situation in which a larger country invades and occupies a smaller one. As each active player knows, two of our provinces, the Western Netherlands and Southern Netherlands are under the control of ePoland. That may be so, but what do the players of the eNetherlands think about it?
A week ago I asked you what your opinions about the occupation were. "Humiliating", "Unacceptable" and "Sad" are just three of the words used by the eDutch to describe the occupation of the provinces by ePoland. Everyone agrees that something must be done, but it seems that nobody knows exactly what that should be. There are many ideas and opinions that differ very much from each other, and one player even said that ePoland "must be driven into the ground" and that the ultimate answer to the problem was, "the total destruction of ePoland".
Many are looking to the current government for answers. The government is currently led by the Geuzen Partij Nederland, who according to many are doing their best to get the eNetherlands back on her feet, but there are also players who think that things can be done better. One player had this to say;
"Our government is doing her best in my opinion, to acquire the position and interests of the eNetherlands. The pressure on our allies may be increased somewhat, so they really will be there when we attempt to fight for our provinces in the future. Furthermore, they should maybe try to loosen some of the allegiances to ePoland. Maybe we need to have a ‘bit tougher' of foreign policy as well."
With the recent explosion of political parties and ideals in the eNetherlands, we can clearly see that many people want a solution, and want it slightly faster than the current government can provide. Many people see this as a sign that the GNL is weak, and that it is time for a new leadership to step up.
Personally, I think the GPN needs time to build the eNetherlands back to what she used to be, before we could do anything. So far I think they have handled the problem very well for a country with only two provinces. Support is given to new players so they can grow quickly, in the form of food and weapons. There is also a lot of information given to new players through the system of ministries that offer much help. Moreover, chances to grow such as the latest training eNorway are also provided by the GPN. These are all small steps, but steps in the right direction. Instead of diversity, we currently need unity to overcome this problem and become the strong nation we once were.

Interesting read. Right now the government is committed on getting our finances on track and being in a position to where we can bring in more money. We can't rush into a liberation. Liberating provinces is not the only thing, we must be able to hold them after. Right now we simply don't have the money to start a liberation nor the resources and the allies who are willing to wage a war on Poland. And you might want to edit a bit. Its GPN not GNL, unless thats the Dutch way? Voted.
My thoughts exactly. We need to build a strong foundation before we can rush into liberating ourselves and restoring our former glory. Untill then, I feel that political diversity is a burden to the process, rather than a solution.
Thanks, I'll get that done. (Sleep deprivation, the curse of every student!)
what Joshua said
Good read. There's a lot of work to do before we can oust Poland. Whoever takes office needs to keep taking these steps in the right direction to get eNL back on its feet. Complete independence seems a bit into the future.
Voted and subscribed.
Again, my opinion exactly. One cannot build a tower without a strong foundation. We need to pick a path and stay on it until we reach our goals, and at the moment the most important goal is to build a foundation for the eNetherlands to build off of in the future.
Thank you very much!
Keep it up, nice to see someone listening to more opinions, not being judgmental and without telling who is right or wrong upfront.
Thats what I wanted De Vrije Pers to be about, your opinions.
I see what you did there... I will never write an article like that. 😛
Good article. Thank you for your confidence. Last night I attended EDEN's weekly summit. A 7 hour meeting where we discussed the situatiion in the e-world. Ofcourse I spoke of the necessity of dealing with Poland. It is my believe that this is in the best interest of the entire alliance, because many enemy MU have their commune in PL because of the 100/100 bonusses. Without that all our enemies pay a higher price for less supplies. Sadly, bringing down Poland takes a lot of allies to co-operate,
V+S 🙂
And there lies the main problem; there's always another enemy that has to be dealt with before, HQ thinks. Now it's Russia, that's turning on EDEN by MPPing Serbia, Hungary and their arch-enemy Poland, They have also NEed Turkey; http://www.erepublik.com/en/main/law/Russia/117468. Russia, just likie the USA becoming friends with Poland is very bad news, because we need them both to deal with Poland, and we've already lost Brasil as well.
I will keep trying to find allies who are willing to commit to this enterprise that dealing with Poland will be. We need to, if we ever want our regions free for a considerable time. I'm also trying to convince Poland to pay rent for the occupied regions, wich would place our NAP in a better light. Now it still is something that was forced upon us. I'll keep you all posted on this, ofcourse.
This would be a fantastic theme for a future article, if my colleague broersje doesn't cover it in your upcoming interview, which I very much look forward to. I am fully confident that the current strategy drawn up by the government is a good way out of our issue, but it is true that we cannot do it alone. Until the rest of EDEN is ready to commit to our cause, I strongly respect and urge other players to follow the strategy written up by your administration.
Thank you for the comment!
So van Spijck, how stong is EDEN at the moment? With the defection of the USA, Brasil and Russia to our enemies, it seems to me that EDEN is not strong enough to deal with Poland in a military way. Are we looking at a possible long term occupation (like years maybe)? Is there any chance to get our territories back trough diplomacy, or do they reflect their tyranny in diplomatic relations as well? Is there any way we could get our territories back without a war?
Excellent article.
Van Spijck, I do appreciate your comments here but I'd rather see them in the official government newspaper. To keep the support of the people you'll have to keep them informed about what you're doing. That goes for all ministries by the way.
I agree fully with Frankie. I wouldn't mind reading a personal article about the state of affairs in the government. 🙂
@Frankie M: I probably will touch upon foreign relations, EDEN, and the Poland situation in my interview, but it will most certainly not be the main theme. There could be enough room for another article.
Fantastic, I'll see whats left when you finish, ok? 🙂
Frankie! Very good article! Enjoyed reading it.
Why thank you!
