Day 5: Updates from the Prime Minister's Desk

Day 2,424, 21:27 Published in India India by Rashtrapati Bhavan

Fellow countrymen and allies,

It is with great pleasure that I present to you updates on the new government's working and other issues on our 5th day in office. The CP is facing troubling times in real and cannot devote enough time to write this article or be involved in Foreign Affairs for a few more days. Thus, here I am presenting to you the government's achievements and other updates.

1. Tournament
We are currently #10 in Country rankings. We achieved the 100% milestone in just 1 day but have slowed down since then. Therefore, the government has decided to sponsor 15 Q7 weapons and 50 Q5 food (click for details) for every fighter for every 50% of his milestone that he completes. Also, the top 3 people who win the most guerrilla fights will get lots of gold.
The country has received 650 gold till now from the tournament and we can easily make it atleast 1000 gold (requires us to reach 500😵. Most of this gold will be used to fund new players retention programs, daily dispatch to keep our army strong and to fund the Training Ground Loan Program

2. Talks with LETO (occupiers)
Canada: The previous government entered into a NAP with eCanada and the current government is renegotiating its terms. We stand by the principles of integrity and respect and won't dishonor any previous agreements just because we don't like them. The treaty with eCanada allows for renegotiation and that shall be done. If we end up disagreeing, the NAP will be terminated with mutual consent. The congress is urged to actively participate in the discussion on forum.

Iran: After the recent wars, eIran approached us with an offer for peace and "offered us 3 of our own regions" as a sign of friendliness. The cabinet had a united view of no negotiations with Iran if that is their attitude. When we conveyed this to them, they tried to threaten us saying that they were doing this for our good because they didn't want another LETO country here. This was seen as very inappropriate by both me and the MoFA Martin and the talks were terminated.
PS: They started an unprovoked war against us by NEing us.

Peru: Talks with ePeru went much better than expected. They agreed that they had made a mistake by Airstriking us. They were provided 24 hours to publicly accept their mistake before any further talks could be resumed. 36 hours have passed, and still no sign of agreement. Thus, I would consider the talks derailed too.
PS: They started an unprovoked war against us by NEing us. x2

Argentina: No diplomatic relations at this point.

Uruguay: Finally, the most mysterious nation I have encountered. The day elections were over, me and the CP contacted Uruguay on a friendly note. Being responsible and leaving our nationalistic patriotism behind, we both agreed to take it carefully with them, since they are at a disadvantage just like us. On top of that, they have just 1 original region. However, we never received any response from them.
At the end of last term, their NE proposal came out of nowhere, which was later "labeled" as a Training War.
In the past 3 days, they have NEd us 2 more times without any communication at all.
To the cabinet, this does not seem appropriate at all. We sympathize with you and your condition Uruguay, and have not been aggressive towards you. But, you are testing our patience!

3. Mutual Protection Pacts
We had been in talks with our allies, eChile and eTurkey for MPPs since this term started but were taking it slow, hoping for a positive tone from LETO. Today, after the drastic deterioration of the situation and Peru and Iran having a secret agreement to divide our regions among themselves, we decided to go ahead with the MPPs. NOTE: Chattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh wars were started by them to swap regions and rearrange themselves.

4. Forum and Congress
Every active congress member is required to register on the forum within 48 hours to be able to participate in debates on proposals. FORUMIf you are busy in real, it is understandable, but try to contribute. Every drop counts. Even if something is suggested on the congress thread and 2 people reply in 24 hours, there is no point discussing when we have 30 congress members. Also, when I login and see 100 messages in the thread, I begin reading them with a very heavy heart. I am sure everyone feels like that.

Don't be like this, wake up!

5. Communication with new players
Since it will take some time for the forum to get active, I have created a new message thread with new players that I know. If you were not added to the thread, comment on this article and join the forum as soon as possible. This way, we can get semi-sensitive information to everyone concerned possible.

6. Public Meeting this weekend
All eIndians and allies are invited to a an open public meeting this weekend. Please suggest a time that will work well for both IST and GMT (preferably saturday) on #loksabha. I can be up all night so it doesn't matter to me. Most of the cabinet will be online and anyone can come up with ideas, questions, accusations, anything!

Finally, fight hard and help the country prosper by winning more gold.

For all my non hindi-speaking friends, it means "Good days are coming"

Jai Hind!
Lord Bernin
Prime Minister of eIndia
