Day 3- Shifting Centers of Focus

Day 1,799, 06:50 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by GameChanger

Hello There!

GameChanger here, with a late article....

I think I am going to make this paper a biweekly event, not on any specific day in said, week, which should help keep things interesting. (that was not just an excuse for my lazyness.)

me being lazy

Anyway, I am going to talk today about how there is a monumental shift in the focus of wars in eRepublik. We all know that this game has been, for years, Balkan-centric, with most major battles going on either in the Balkans, or by countries from there.

This past week, we saw the most intense and interesting war in months. Croatia and Romania airstriked Malaysia and Indonesia, respectively. Indonesia was wiped, but kept up resistance wars. However, they underestimated the power of CoT, and Chile, one of the newest superpowers in the game.

With Chilean and not seen Bulgarian help, Indonesia has wiped Romania, and is currently assaulting Croatia in Malaysia. Unfortunately, Indonesia cannot reach Croatia's territories in India.

This illustrates how the wars are becoming less Balkan-Centric. Of course, there will always be a lot of wars in the Balkans, but now we can fight in other places as well.

If you look at the eRepublik login page, 3 of the 5 countries listed are South American. These countries (Chile, Argentina, and Brazil) are all in separate alliances, which means that there is potential for plently of conflict.

Although CTRL is a flawed (to say the least) alliance, it shows that non-balkan alliances can be formed. Many people were opposed to the airstrike option, but I think it allows for new wars to occur that would be impossible otherwise. And although Balkan countries may conduct many of these strikes, it is still a refreshing change.

On a side note, I've noticed a lot of rematches happening. First there was Serbia's failed crusade to China, now America and Hungary appear to gearing up for war.

That's all for now!
Whack those "like" and "sub" buttons, would yah?
