Daniel Samarin for President!

My fellow citizens. Today, I would like to formally announce my intention to run for President of the Philippines.

Prior to now, I had not given much thought to the idea of one day running president. However, my goals have changed after I was picked to be a “lulz” candidate last month. I was touched by the amount of support that I received. Even though it was only a campaign in jest, people actually voted for me, supported me and told me that they felt I would do a great job leading our nation. Their devotion inspired a confidence in myself to do more. I have played this game for a very long time, I’m experienced. I have served in cabinets (USA, currently PH), Military leadership roles (ST6, currently PAC), and many terms in congress (USA, PH). I began to think, why not? I have the work ethic to be an effective and active CP, and above all, I want to do what’s best for our country. I believe I can be the leader our great country needs. With the assistance of my cabinet, I will lead the Philippines into a new era of activity and prosperity. It would be an honor to lead such a great nation.



Military
The AFP needs to be revamped and given life again. Though, not as the National Army as we have previously attempted, but as a direct funnel into much more efficient Military Units in which we are in the initial stages of forming. The MoD will take control of the AFP’s Military Unit and personally invite new players to be processed directly into the MU for immediate assistance. This will instantly increase retention. Many new players will not be aware of Military Units, but if they see an alert, we can grab their attention. Later, when they achieve the rank of captain, AFP staff will send a message with details on other Military Units, so that they may then choose the most suitable course for themselves.



MPPs
I have always advocated the strategy of having more MPPs. Mutual Protection Pacts are a great investment. Active battles provide a training platform and a window into the larger world around us. We will receive greater protection from invading countries, and we will be able to assist our allies in times of need. My belief is so resolute, that I will personally pledge 20,000 PHP to cover the costs of MPPs with Turkey and Cyprus. In both countries, I have many old friends and would love to see them fighting side by side with my countrymen.



Occupied Territories
Mindanao is currently under lease to Indonesia and both parties are pleased with the arrangement. I would fully support an extension of this deal and continued, lasting friendship with our neighbors. Luzon however, is a redundant resource for ourselves and the Chinese. While we do not require the territory, it is currently serving to drain damage in unnecessary resistance wars. I will hold discussions with our staff and the Chinese government to explore the possibility of returning this land that has become a burden on our northern friends.



I am committed to the betterment of the Philippines and live to see it prosper. Whether it be myself or another leading our country into the new year, I plan to do everything in my power to protect and serve our great nation.
