Dail Manifesto: Northeast

Day 490, 10:28 Published in Ireland Ireland by Michael Holcomb
This Past Term

In the past term I have served the people of the Northeast to the best of my ability, I proposed a law to raise the minimum wage and have voted on a great many issues, you can check back on my previous articles to see those votes in detail. I was fortunate enough to be chosen to serve as Minister of Trade & Employment and I have worked in the government to reform our system of State Companies in an attempt to make it more efficient. It isn't right yet, but I feel that it's getting better as we move forward.

The Term Ahead

My goal for the next Dail is to try and build a Just Society for all the people of Ireland. That is my goal. I want to engage in massive reform, not just to create new programs, but to study and perfect those we currently have in existence.

First, I want to learn more about the Irish Health System and to try and gain a full understanding of the system and how it works. My goal is to find out about the organization and to see what if any reforms might be needed. I can't say what state the system is in, but if it does need reform I will work to find other TD's to help find a fix for it.

Second, Ireland's state housing system, as with above, I don't have all the details and I won't pretend to understand the organization but I want to make a study of that and to get a better feeling of how it works. Once I do, I can better represent the people of the Northeast and work to perfect any problems with the system.

Third, Irish State Companies work hard to provide a form of social welfare to the people of Ireland. I want to work both in the Dail and in the Cabinet to fix up the companies we own. And to potentially form new companies to continue to bridge the gap between current supply and what is needed by the companies we own already.

Finally, I want to endow the people of Ireland with greater wealth and greater ability to live a fulfilled life as citizens of our Republic. I have goals, and I have dreams, and I want to make the dreams of all people of Ireland real. I want to make our health systems, housing, education, and employment situation better for all people. I want to make our nation into the truly great place it has it within itself to be. My goal is simple, for the state to be a broker state to help business grow and to benefit all Irish citizens fully. To make our society a truly Just Society.
