The following is a conversation between myself and the Cyprus Minister of Foreign Affairs NoGuts-NoGlory - hopefully giving you an insight into our new NaN member.

In light of your nation's recent move to join the NaN, I thought I might make an effort to understand a bit about your community and if applicable, relay it back to Australia so we can integrate with greater efficiency and just enjoy the game even more.
If you would spare the time to give an impression of your nation that would be greatly appreciated.

Hello my friend, nice to meet you.

eCyprus is a mixture of mainly Greeks and Turkish players who co-operate for the progress of this country leaving behind all the real life issues that those two countries have. Plus there are other players like from France, Serbia, FYROM, Ireland but they are the minority.

We communicate in english. Every decision is taken after discussion in a group message which consists all the active eCypriots.

We have quite few players who tank a lot in our battles and we lack on young players.

We don't have any good relationship with the neighbour countries although in the past most of them were allies.

How effective is communication through the group message? Do you have your own forums?

NoGuts-NoGlory:
I guess its quite effective. Doubltessly the opinion of older or more respected players is stronger but still its a democratic way because someone may propose a better option or plan or even pose his disagreements about an issue

What is the political environment in cyprus? Are there any major dissagreements in policy? Are people focused on the antics of politics or on policy?

NoGuts-NoGlory:
As for politics, we dont have any major disagreement. The two stronger sides are UCP (Greeks + foreigners) and Turkish parties or Inci party.

How is your media climate? Ours has been going through a dry spell at the moment (apart from the election)

NoGuts-NoGlory:
Our media climate is really dry. We don't have many people publishing articles except some players who publish funny or troll articles 😛

I believe we share your issue with new players. Is your issue with keeping players active, or with getting them at all?

NoGuts-NoGlory:
Cyprus in RL has small population and even smaller percentage of Internet users. So, its not easy to bring new Cypriots to the game. For that reason, we have built a multinational community which provides opportunity to the rest players of e-World to join eCyprus.

Our most important 'weapon' is friendhsip. Most of us know each other even in RL and once a year we organize RL meetings in Greece or Turkey. We work as team and respect each other.

Wow! RL meetings. That is some impressive friendship 🙂 Smart about making your nation multinational, and its great that it seems to be not leading to much conflict.

If you had any wishes/goals for our communities, what would they be?

And what is your personal goal for cyprus in the next month?
NoGuts-NoGlory:
Well I hope that both countries will be able to develope a new standard in military co-operation through this new alliance, and why not build new bonds.

Personal goal? Not really. Actually I have e-lived everything as one of the first eCypriot citizens. I ve become, congress member, work in TERRA, become CP, MoD and so on.

All I want is to build a better infrastructure in eCyprus 🙂

What exactly do you mean by infrastructure?

NoGuts-NoGlory:
I mean the way our country works. The formula. Take for example this month. All expenses of wars, supplies to citizens and mpps were covered by 1-2 people while we could have use those money and invest them

Once upon a time every congress member had to donate the 5 golds from the metal to the state. now nobody cares.

Also a better management of MUs. We are small country with many Military Units. We could set a MU to welcome new players and watch their statistics and supply them more easily.
