In order to create the perfect inventory you should know that the bonus in wellness increase depends on the quality of the product and the current wellness.

The wellness can be increased in 4 ways:
1) by food , depending on the Q
2) by living in a house , depending on the Q
3) by gifts , maximum wellness per day 10
4) hospital , by healing after going to battlefield, lvl 5 reaquired

The new players should buy food every day, in first levels you can't save money because your skills are low, but soon you can buy food and save money for other products.
Houses are expensive to buy so it is recommended to buy a house after lvls 14/15
In order to gain the wellness increase by gifts you should receive a gift from another player. Its not enough if you buy it, you will not get the wellness bonus.
Sent a gift to a friend and ask him/her to gift it back to you.
Max total gift bonus 10. that means you can have these combinations

Quality Amount of gifts
Q1 * 10 = 10
Q2 * 5 = 10
Q3 * 3 = 9
Q5 * 2 = 10

Each quality lvl gives 1 bonus per gift, so you can have 10 gifts of Q1, or 2 gifts of Q5, or 3 gifts of Q3 and 1 gift of Q1. Use any combination to get the max wellness by fifts each day

Start by buying food Q1 at first lvls, buy Q2 or Q3 later on and try to get some gifts.
remember to use hospital after lvl 5, its a blessing
