CP Update - Ministry stuff

Right so today has been a long day of stating intent with the ministries and ministers and some great ideas have come forward today.



Ministry of Education
We've set the goal for the ministry of Education this term, to have a set of guides which could be made into an intranet within erepublik articles and would be linked to in the New Citizen message. The set of articles would look to improve upon erepublik's poorly organised and difficult to use wiki and also give relevant information for people just starting the game.
Talking to Sennan Blake today, we agree that this could really help our retention rates and give our players a head start in the game.



Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Our number one priority this term is Eden and doing everything we can to facilitate for our entry. This term we have three ministers in this department and all of them will have lots to do. Ireland as a country is new to alliances and the experience that Solaris + Kyle have brought to the table, has already proven invaluable and I'm sure that for this term, their positive effect for IReland will continue. Even though none will be having direct contact with Eden themselves, there is lots of backroom work which can be done to help with our acceptance. MooMooHead came up with some great ideas regarding this department in particular and credit must go to him.
James Ferrin is a guy who came bursting onto the scene when he joined erepublik first. Within a few weeks of playing the game he was talking to some of the highest ranking soldiers in America and helped build strong relations which have proven vital for past Irish military successes. This kind of work is something which I'm keen to expand into other countries, so we may have a network of armies and soldiers with a personal connection to Ireland, that will come and fight for our cause at any opportunity.



Ministry of Industry
Octavius Dryst has made a report on the state of our companies in the two main industry orgs. We have come to realise that some of our companies are of little or no use to the state and there will probably be some proposals in the dail over the next coming days about the fate of these assets which are currently just sitting idle.



The IDF
There are some changes which need to be made within the IDF if we're going to ever have a chance of getting into Eden. Today to Marcus and Moo, we were planning how the system could be improved. As it stands we have too few people going on deployments and it's necessary for our soldiers to rank up and for the army as a whole to become stronger, that we become more organised and have numerically more well equipped soldiers going on each of our deployments. There is a real will for change in this government and I really think that there are going to be some huge improvements this term.


One Year Old

My Birthday
So now for the most important news 😃 jk It's my birthday! It's not my Real Life Birthday, it's my e-Birthday. Last year it took my housemate 3 weeks to get me to make an account on this so I could vote for him in the congress elections. I thought the game sounded a bit lame and it actually took me around another 3 months to get involved in it at all. But sure here we are now and I suppose I've enjoyed it, it's taken a sizable amount of my time certainly over the last 9 months, I probably know more about this than I do about my course. Actually I'm certain about that! 😛
So maybe if I had more time, I'd write a little tribute to all I've known, but as president I couldn't leave someone out. So i'm just going to say, "Hello to everyone! I've had a super time"
